It is easy to clean and doesn't take up a lot of space. The only gripe I have about this teapot is that the lid has a metal sphere to grip for removal of the lid. As the tea steeps, this part can get moderately hot, so I have to be careful when I want to remove the lid. Otherwise, everything else is excellent. I'm sure I've had ceramic or porcelain teapots that have had the same feel but something about it being glass makes it feel more fragile. It works quite well, the strainer frame fits well in the glass pot. The strainer itself is easy to insert and remove. But you do have to be careful and mind the stainless steel, it WILL try to rust if you don't properly wash and immediately dry the pieces. I've had mine since December 20106 and it's shown a few signs of rust where I didn't clean it and dry it fast enough. I've noticed that it's prone to spilling while pouring so I've taken to the quick sharp pour style over the gentle pour.
