Braun was acquired by Proctor and Gamble in 2005 and stopped selling appliances in 2008. Braun clocks, watches and calculators were out-licensed to the Chinese company that owns the "Ingersol" name. Braun watches today are more like costume jewelry. **Q: Does it have an alarm?** A: No, there is no alarm. **Q: Does the strap user replaceable?** A: Of course Yes!!! I replaced it with nylon band (20mm not 22mm). Original Braun band is 22mm but my 20mm nylon band is perfect for it. **Q: How long is the strap? My hand is 25cm, can it fit?** A: When I measure the length of the band, including the width of the watch, it looks like 24.5 cm would be the longest adjustment possible. Note: this is a longer band than several other watches that I own. It appears this Braun watch uses standard expansion posts and any replacement band that will fit the 18mm inside width of the posts (looks like a 22mm band width and 18mm width at the attachment point) would work. This is a very attractive watch; would be worth the effort. However my experience so far has been stellar - I love the Braun styling- so minimal yet so clear, and the little touches of colour (yellow hand and red date tag) make it much more interesting in real life than in the pictures. The strap has held up well to daily wear (I do not use it in the shower or get it wet as it is a leather strap) and timekeeping has been fine.
