Will this oil work good for a 2 lb RC car?

Yes will work fine. Just know how much to use. Great oil honestly

Would this work for 1/24?

I use it on some 1/18 nearly the same size. It works but a thinner oil, below 20 maybe would probably work better. The ones I use it on has just a couple drops in them because of the weight of the oil.
