My last question about this is is it good for a gaming computer? does it have nice quality for a monitor for decent price range.

I have two of these monitors for my setup. And I play call of duty modern warfare on it. They are really good. Provided that I've never played on a 144hz monitor though.

does the monitor have a standard VESA mount?

The monitor has the vesa mount standard 75x75mm (Screw dimension: M4x10 mm). You can take for example this wall mount > http://topreviews24.com/full-motion-wall-mount/videosecu-ml531be/ < I'm very happy with it.

Why is this cheaper on the sp website?

What's an SP website!? Thought the $115 price was quite reasonable even after paying Cal. sales tax and $9 disposal fee!

What is the response time? Fast is not the answer I'm looking for

The response time for this monitor is 5 ms.
