I have used as a daily conditioner that I rinse out, as a hair mask that I leave in for 30 minutes while I do my "everything" shower, or as a leave in that I put a little in damp hair, comb through and dry and leave in all day . I like it every which way and would recommend it. I have waist length, fine, natural, light brown thin hair that is not colored or bleached. This helps keep my hair healthy and looking shiny
