The at-lp120 turntable comes with this array. **Q: what are the best cartidge and needle for this headshell?** A: Dan, I purchased the Shure M97xE High-Performance Magnetic Phono Cartridge in 2013. I'm not disappointed. I do a lot of album & 45 transfers, as well as just enjoy putting an album on while working in my shop. I tried others but to my ear this cartridge provided the best reproduction of instruments and voice. I would recommend also getting a Shure SFG-2 Stylus Tracking Force Gauge so you can set the weight up correctly. For $25 the gauge will payback in stylus costs and wear on the media.
