What is the chemical ingredient in these? All I can see in the description is that they are biodegradable and non toxic.

Ingredients: 15%-30% oxygen-based bleaching agents, less than 5% anionic surfactants. This is what’s on the box.

What exactly this pod will clean? Because it doesn’t run through the machine. So basically it just dispense the hot water inside the pod!

If you have been using your Keurig on a regular base.it will have a build up inside your Machine to.I always cleaned my Kuerig the regular way,Vinegar and Water.I switched to Amazon cleansing Cups and after my first used i was surprised how much dirty Water came out.Looked like another Cup of Coffee.Don’t forget to rinse with clear Water at least twice.Hope this helps.

Do you descale or clean first and how often

Great question and thanks for posting it. You should use cleaning pods to clean your machine once a week and a descaling solution to run the descaling cycle once every three months. Thanks!

What's the purpose of these. They, like coffee do not enter the machine. How's this clean the heating tube?

They only clean the brewing chamber. To clean inside of the machine you need a claner solution that disolves in the tank. Find our caffenu cleaning solution and descaling product which does that are buy our complete cleaning kit that includes the liquid and these pods.
