This device works well and accurately samples paint colors, deriving color information and providing a list of paint brands and color names in descending order of how closely they match. Great stuff. My main complaint is that the app requires you to create an account. Annoying! I don't need this device to be connected to the cloud, I just need it to perform a color scan. Judging by a scuff mark or two on the carrying case, and by the fact that the device's "Lifetime Scan Count" was already at 125, it would appear that I received a used unit. It still works fine, but come on.

Ran a Gage R&R study on this device vs an X-Rite Ci62. This was as repeatable as the Ci62. In terms of reproducing the same color reading, it measured within a DE2000 of 0.5. For $300 I am incredibly impressed. The software app is very easy to use as well with databases for the big brand paint suppliers for color matching for your everyday homeowner. On the professional side, they do give an open API in case you want to integrate it into color matching software. I just wish there were already simple access or excel import methods you could quickly download and use in seconds. My only con is they provide the numerical value in all color spaces which is great however, the reflectance curve is in a graph only and I have not found a way to get the individual 10nm values from that curve.

I have had 3 of the Spectro 1 Pro's. When they are working, they are great, the problem is they tend to break way too easily. I baby them and keep them safely stored in their case when not charging or in use. I do paint mixing and need to be able to have consistent and reliable results. Once again I find the unit giving me a calibration error, and of course I need to calibrate it to use it properly.

It seems to be very accurate, I take multiple readings. It identified an off white ceiling flat, a white trim and two different cabinet colors all spot on.

Worked great when it arrived. Really like the software and the ease of use. Calibration tiles were a nice feature. I went to use it a couple weeks later and could not get it to link to my phone. Tried to erase and re-pair it. Nothing. Seller returned for a full refund so I'm happy.

Buy one. It works very well up to 3 months. It stopped recharging the battery and connecting to the cell phone, making it completely useless. I bought a second unit thinking I had bad luck with the first one. Exactly the same thing happened.

Have two devices, both batteries drain from full charge every other day. I actively use the device about 15 minutes a day, The battery % isn’t remotely accurate. Any time you go to read a color at half-charge it’s a gamble of whether or not the device will endlessly load to give you an error or warning your battery is too low. Build quality and presentation out of the box has the pretense of being premium; one device’s button out of the box was noticeably less responsive. Most frustrating of all is the app. A while back they added a 5 second delay between readings that does absolutely nothing but waste time. What’s worse is the 5 second delay glitches and will start to add 5 seconds each time you scan. The only reason I own this device is because their $50 devices that did the same thing had their app updated to no longer display HSB values.

追記 バッテリーの減りが早いです。2・3回色を見たあと、数日放置しただけで電池がだいぶ減っています。 そんな頻繁に使うことがないので毎回充電をする必要があるかもしれないです。 ----------------- 海外から発送のものは怖い・怪しいので、発送元がメーカーのケイエルブイ株式会社で購入しました。 高いけど精度の良いものだと思います。 セミハードの収納ケースに本体とキャリブレーション用のプレート、充電ケーブル、説明書が入っていました。
