Review: 100% reccomended! - This is perfect for my prebuilt. it just use around 48 watts max. pair it with a freesync monitor, you cant go wrong with it. with this price, i got mine for 404 aed. On the other hand, desertcart US didnt bother to atleast put it on a box or bublewrap for this international shipping. it came with just the box of the card from the manufacturer, they put their sticker and thats it, not to mention i got it on prime. but it miraculously worked, so i will still give a hundred.
Review: Once it's finally set up, it's an awesome card - It was on a sale , so I bought this card to improve video editing, CAD and gaming. My system is based on an AMD A10-7700K, which has an integrated graphics processor in the CPU. That was ok for small games, and CAD and video editing was possible but slow. I had trouble getting the card to configure to my machine but that was due to the integrated graphics processor in the CPU, and had to do some adapting as it has an 8-pin power connector while my power supply only had a 6-pin (it is already a 500W PSU). Once those got sorted out it has been awesome ever since. I was only doing about 15 fps on Valley Benchmark in 1024x768 at Medium setting with no anti-aliasing before, and now it is reliably doing 55 fps at 1680x1050 at Ultra with 2x anti-aliasing. As well, it is now very handy to have a second monitor as it makes some jobs more productive. Very happy with this purchase as it's made this PC more usable for a few more years.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the memory chip?**
A: There is no real memory chip. You have a GPU that is similar to a CPU but handles graphics only and 4 gig of on card DDR 5 memory or RAM that works with the GPU on the card to play back your video games in 3D and 2D for desktop graphics. Amazon really needs to get their specs accurate because they are not even close to being accurate and are confusing people like yourself. If I were you I would go to Toms hardware or hardocp.com and read all you can about graphics cards so you can see firsthand how they work and get some actual numbers like GPU speed, memory speed, and the 128 Bit to 256 bit and higher bus speeds.
The top line video cards have much faster bus speeds (570 and 580 use 256 bit) and the(550 and 560 use a 128 bit) while there top line GPU speeds are closer to each other than you think. The GPU's are basically the same but the slower cards use crippled GPUs and smaller bus speeds to sell the card at a much lower cost.
Research is your best weapon when it comes to buying computer hardware! Don't trust all the reviews as many are not applicable. Try the sites I mentioned so you can get the info you really need to get what your looking for. Keep in mind that the Bit Coin miners are buying all the radeon cards in the RX-270 and RX-280's making the prices surge to crazy price points. The best thing to do is wait this out and buy a good radeon video card when they release a new GPU and the prices on these cards will finally drop back to near there normal retail prices. All the radeons are selling at $100 to $200 over their actual retail prices! In some cases you can pay more for a 4 gig card than the 8 gig version and that is really nuts!

**Q: I have a 550w 80+ bronze psu. will it be enough for this card? i know rx 580s can be quite power hungry**
A: I am using 500w psu, over clocked my gpu to 1450 MHz,with no problem for 4 month of gaming already.
power consumption for rx 580 is 185W, GPU and CPU both uses the 12v port from your psu, just make sure you CPU and GPU's power consumption add together is about 80% of your 12v port.

**Q: What is the msrp for this card?**
A: I bought mine Jan 3rd 2020 BRAND NEW for $141. At the time everywhere else had them at $190.

This is a $150 to $200 card that they are now gouging up. And its already three generation older then the newest tech AMD offers. (At least) Its a great card. But not worth what they are gouging it up as. And its total BS that they are doing that.

**Q: Can somebody pls explain why is this rx 5800 cost $800.00 when i can buy right now a new nvidia 3080 10gb mems for less? 😩 😷**
A: "Bitcoin" has nothing to do with it.. no one is GPU mining bitcoin for profit.. you ASIC mine bitcoin.. Ethereum and some other alt coins are mined with GPU's and i honestly cant wait till ETH 2.0 comes out and all these cards people are hording to gouge people with lose their wallets.. there is also a "supply chain" issue but I'm pretty sure that's artificial.

not to mention whoever answered one of the questions above about type of memory with: "there's no real memory chip" should re-evaluate their eagerness to answer a question with blatantly incorrect information if you are the seller or represent the seller I would never buy from you because you don't even know the market you are gouging.

I GPU mine.. but not even i would pay this price for a card that pushes 30 / 34mhs. i refuse to buy over priced cards..

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great for Mojave in my 2010 Mac Pro
*by J***S on 14 September 2018*

I had to get "Metal Compatible" GPU in order to run the new mac os Mojave beta. Did some research on the web and this was the most cost effective card I could find. Easily recognized by the OS, and as fast or faster than a $350 7950 card. I didnt flash the rom so the screen is blank during the initial bootup. I am keeping my old 5770 card in case I ever need it. Also, make sure you have the proper cable, I was able to get by with an older 1.4 hdmi cable with the 5770, but I had to use a 4k compatible 2.0 cable to get the card to sync with my 3440x1440 monitor.
