Not exactly like a pillow but very warm and comfortable.

Why are these socks called crew shocks when I got mine they were ankle socks?

This style is normally called crew socks. They come partway up your leg. Ankle socks are lower. Knee socks are higher. These hit in between.

How do these fit for womens size 5? I typically have to buy kids size

I wear 6 1/2, and I also like to get kids socks. These are a little big on me, as usual. They are OK until I put shoes on, and then I'm sure you're familiar with how the heel wants to ride up in the back. I haven't washed them yet though, so they may shrink up a bit. So they will be a little big on you, but they are SUPER soft and comfy otherwise.

I wear a shoe size 9 and these socks fit me great. They are not tight at all, and feel really nice on my feet. I hope this helps!

Muy buenos. Pero NO son de corte militar

Son muy buenos calcetines. Confortables, calentitos... Pero NO son de corte militar. El corte militar es hasta la media pierna. Y estos, como se aprecia en la imagen, llegan hasta unos cinco centímetros más arriba del hueso exterior del tobillo. Puntos a favor: - El tejido no pica ni es molesto. Y para temperaturas muy bajas, estos calcetines son perfectos. Vale que no son térmicos, y tampoco son demasiado gruesos, pero son cómodos y lo suficientemente calentitos. - Además son resistentes y no aprietan demasiado, es decir, no dejan marca. Y vienen en colores variados, para dar un toque de color al frío (aunque no se vean). ¡Muy buenos!

Reordered - gave my first order away

They were very nice looking. I ordered them in advance for my daughter's birthday, but wound up giving them away unopened when our area got hit with that killer tornado. People were specifically asking for warm socks. I should receive my second order of these socks today.

Warm and comfortable

I needed socks for bedtime because my feet were so cold I couldn't sleep. I chose these pairs because the information said they would keep my feet warm. I bought them based upon information and reviews. Pros: they do keep my feet warm at night so I can sleep. The socks are loose enough so don't block blood flow as I am diabetic. The socks are loose enough so my feet aren't being pinched. Cons: not crazy about the colors but that isn't a big deal as I only wear them at night. I would buy them again.
