I am fairly new to cycling & I don't know how else to ask this so... this cream is completely safe for the groin area? where exactly do you apply it?

Yes, it's safe. I put it on my 'chamois area' -- anywhere the saddle rubs and could cause irritation. Some people coat the whole chamois with chamois cream, but that uses up a lot. After I put on my cycling shorts, I get a big dollop of chamois cream, reach inside the shorts and put the cream where I need it -- generally on my sit bones and where my legs meet the torso in front (which can get irritated), and wherever else I feel I need it. Can someone post the entire ingredients list? I have really sensitive skin and have thrown out several chamois cremes that were irritating.

Updated ingredients list as of 2016, through 2017..  The formula no longer contains cholecalciferol;

What makes this cream specific for women? In other words, why can't one cream work for both? What are the biologically differentiating aspects?

It has a scent.  The one that is gender neutral has no scent.  I have used both.  Neither one is irritating.  I buy whichever one is cheapest.  Oddly, lately that has been the women-specific.

Has anyone tried this in a triathlon?  I'm looking for something I can put on pre-swim and it will last through the cycle & run.

Yes.  I applied this before my swim (1500 meters - with a wetsuit) in an Olympic distance tri, and it lasted throughout the bike ride (25 miles) and run (6.2 miles).
