You can cheat the system by soaking the top of the bottle in hot water (I microwave a normal sized coffee cup of water for a minute), then the top screws off and you can whatever type of floor cleaner in you want. Be sure to put to screw the top back on right away before the plastic cools down. Tip - after doing the for a few months, the bottle I was using for refill must not have been as resilient and the cleaning liquid all leaked out (over the course of two days) because it is store upside down; to be safe, take the cleaning bottle out and store it right side up when not In use.
