The 70-200mm F/2.8 complements the extremely successful concept of the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 by the telephoto range up to 200mm. Despite its small size, the 70-200mm is packed with features that allow stress-free shooting in all situations: a short close-up distance of only 0.95m in the entire focal length range, an excellent magnification scale of 1:3.1 and a highly efficient internal focusing system. Cameras with full-frame sensors utilize the medium telephoto range of 70mm to 200mm, while APS-C sensors have a computational range of 109mm to 310mm (based on the angle of view of the full format).

Review: Excelente producto - Hay que saber que para el precio que tiene es un excelente producto, hay varios detalles como el cambio de enfoque auto a manual se traba un poco, pero con un poco de practica se puede dominar facilmente, y es algo ruidoso, por lo que si quieres pasar desapercibido en un lugar muy silencioso te será muy difícil. Otra cosa es que el AF es algo lento en comparación con otros lentes, como el canon 70-200, sin embargo para el precio es justo, pero si recomiendo checar una reseña profesional en youtube por que es bueno para muchas situaciones, pero si lo necesitas para un enfoque rápido como deportes o carreras, si puede que te de problemas. Además de eso yo estoy muy contento con el producto, muy buen bokeh, muy buena calidad de imagen, en general excelente y accesible
Review: Brillante - He mirado, probado, y comparado muchos objetivos. En relación calidad/precio, no hay nada mejor. No obstante, hay que saber varias cosas: 1 - No tiene estabilizador (si pretendes tirar fotos de noche y sin trípode, no es tu objetivo). 2 - No tiene un enfoque muy rápido (de hecho me parece un poco lento). Fin de los aspectos negativos. Lo positivo: es el más ligero de los teleobjetivos. Nitidez excelente. La distancia mínima de enfoque es de 95cm (el mejor en esto también), algo magnífico en muchísimas situaciones. En 70, o en 200, tienes 2.8, lo cual es maravilloso, y además no pierde nitidez en ninguna focal ni diafragma (es mejor en f4.0, pero desde f2.8 es una maravilla). Para vídeo (siempre con trípode) es una barbaridad de objetivo. Y por si fuera poco, tiene un macro realmente interesante y cercano. Es un todo terreno y para rematar, es uno de los más baratos. A menos que necesites fotografiar eventos deportivos, y por tanto mucha velocidad en el autofoco, este objetivo es mi recomendación número uno.

**Q: How does this lens compare to the Canon version?  Mainly want for indoor sports?  Would you spend the extra money for the Canon version?**
A: I don't have any idea on how it compares to Cannon. I shoot with Pentax equipment. I know that it is an exceptional lens that provides high quality images at a reasonable price. I use it for indoor sports and it performs well. If you are shooting for personal use I would say buy the Tamron. If you shoot professionally then go for the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras by Canon. This lens is about $2,000.00. You can pass the cost to the clients.

**Q: Will this work for Canon EOS 60D?**
A: Yes! I purchased it to use with my Canon 50D and it also works with my Canon 5D Mark II. I love the lens!

**Q: Is the f2.8 constant for all the zoom range...? I mean the f value will change if one zoom out/in.**
A: The SETTING should stay the same.  I'm checking...In the Aperture mode, setting to f/2.8 and rotating the zoom full out and back, the F/2.8 stays the same on the screen.  On my Nikon D7000 the only way to control the ap...unless I've missed something, is in the A mode.  Changing the mode dial displays a different ap biased on other factors.  Even then, rotating the zoom does not change the displayed ap setting. Ie if rotating the mode from A mode where you have set the ap to say f3, to M or S, the ap may stay or move to another value if needed.  At this point, whatever the value is displayed, rotating the zoom out or in does not change the f value.

**Q: Have anyone tried this lens(Pentax mount) on Pentax K-30. In the dropdown if I select K30 it is sowing not compatible**
A: Lots of stupid answers here since this is a hub for 4 different mounts. You can use this with any Pentax DSLR to my knowledge. I use it with the K-50 no issues. It's tack sharp too!

He mirado, probado, y comparado muchos objetivos. En relación calidad/precio, no hay nada mejor. No obstante, hay que saber varias cosas: 1 - No tiene estabilizador (si pretendes tirar fotos de noche y sin trípode, no es tu objetivo). 2 - No tiene un enfoque muy rápido (de hecho me parece un poco lento). Fin de los aspectos negativos. Lo positivo: es el más ligero de los teleobjetivos. Nitidez excelente. La distancia mínima de enfoque es de 95cm (el mejor en esto también), algo magnífico en muchísimas situaciones. En 70, o en 200, tienes 2.8, lo cual es maravilloso, y además no pierde nitidez en ninguna focal ni diafragma (es mejor en f4.0, pero desde f2.8 es una maravilla). Para vídeo (siempre con trípode) es una barbaridad de objetivo. Y por si fuera poco, tiene un macro realmente interesante y cercano. Es un todo terreno y para rematar, es uno de los más baratos. L'hobby della fotografia si sa non è per nulla economico quindi bisogna cercare di ottimizzare le risorse. a "parità" di prezzo della casa madre acquisti l'F/4.0 che ha tutta l'aria del classico vorrei ma non posso. Questa ottica invece da delle soddifazioni incredibili! Nitida, bei colori, luminosissima. Salvo che non si debbano fare foto in condizioni di luce scarsa a soggetti in movimenti o a mano libera non si sente la mancanza dello stabilizzatore. Per carità il peso c'è ma le molte lenti che compongono questa ottica e la qualità costruttiva percepita tra le mani lo giustificano. Presenti custodia paraluce e anello per attacco al cavalletto. Consiglio uso del monopiede se va usato per un tempo prolungato perché il polso e la mano potrebbero risentirne. Io lo uso abbinato ad una 7D MK II e ne sono entusiasta! CONSIGLIATISSIMO!
