**Q: Are they water proof when used with watercolor?**
A: Yes,  I also use these to outline before I watercolor.   These pens are amazing!!!

**Q: Will these write on a page that has gesso on it and not dry out??  So far I've ruined a micron pen, a stadtler pen and a sakura gel pen.  Thanks!**
A: Pitt pens are mixed media markers and should do fine on Gesso, it is always best after writing on gesso to clean tip by scribbling on a blank sheet of paper to get residual gesso out of tip.

**Q: Does it smear when using alcohol markers? Such as Copics, or Touch markers?**
A: These Faber Castell pens contain india ink. They are waterproof but not alcohol proof. They will smear if colored over with any alcohol based markers such as Copics or Touch markers.

I received this item today and when I checked, i found ink for all pens are dried and its not even working. I'm a big fan of these PITT pen sets. I always have my black set on hand, and I snap up these different coloured sets when ever I see them. The ink lays down dense and smooth, no messing around, and these give a nice variation in line weight with pressure (more variation than you get from Micron pens). This is 'Sanguine' colour. It's a bit less red than I was expecting, and I'd probably just think of it as a sepia. It looks great for line art, giving a soft and sophisticated look in comparison to a plain black drawing. It is rich enough to look like something a bit different, but it is still neutral enough not to jump out as a 'coloured ink'.
