Read the negative comments and wondering where these came from. I buy Wild Planet sardines and they are very, very good, so I tried these anchovies and was very satisfied, and will continue to buy them as well. They are delicious in salads and on crackers.

I'm a big fan of marinated white anchovies (boquerones in Spanish - search for images of that word to see what this is). White anchovies usually must be purchased fresh, so I was hoping this would be an alternative I could keep in stock at all times. But these are nothing like those. They taste and look like meaty, good sardines. Nothing wrong with that, except they're labeled as anchovies!

As the title states, I am not an anchovy fan. I prefer sardines. However, these white anchovies are much better than those you would traditionally find on pizzas or Caesar salads. I’m sure an anchovy fan would find these delightful.

They were sardine like. Nothing like the texture or shape of anchovies. Anchovies are usually thin flat fillets. These were whole fish with the flavor and texture of sardines. I can hardly tell you how unsatisfied I am over this purchase. Really truly dissappointed.
