Are the wheels black when shipped or do I need to paint them?

You dont need to paint them, it looked very nice,black like real wheels when it shipped but except the body part are just black , white and gray. Not red painted in the picture

How many hours to build?

It’s kinda impossible to answer that question. If you just build it straight out the box maybe 4-6 hours. You could definitely do it in a weekend. But if you take the time to clean up and paint all the parts. It’ll b a lot longer. The amount of time you put into it will show in the results. It’s possible to make that model look exactly like the real bike. It’s up to you. It’s a great model btw. It took me 3 weekends to get it where I was satisfied

Go to tamiya website and you’ll find the instructions and paint list. You’ll probably have to check out a few places to get all the paints needed There’s a shortage going on
