It delivers what it promises
I am doing a ten week course at a University and did not enjoy playing with the paddles provided at this place. At the same time, I did not want to spend a lot of money and buy a very good paddle as I have my own paddle back home. The Sitga Titan is the perfect compromise. What it does well: It is very good to play a chop game and holds its own when you are trying to play long rallies. The spin on the racket is pretty decent. It is light-weight so it is pretty good for a fast counter game, subject to the limitations given below. What it does not do very well: The light weight and the slow rubber response means that you will probably need to push a little on your smash blocks and will need to place your attacking strokes more. Also, for me the light weight means that it I cannot get top spin on low balls consistently. Overall: It is a great compromise racket. It will not do everything you are used to if you use a better (more specialized) racket but will serve you beautifully if you adjust your game a little. Cannot ask for more at the price of 30 Bucks!

Perfect quality paddle for experienced players who just play for fun
I wouldn't spend this much on a paddle for a beginner player, but is perfect for anyone who plays often and is looking for a paddle that offers better control or wants a good paddle for putting spins on the ball. I play at least two to three times (3-5 games each) per week and so far no damage or issues with this paddle. Good control and light weight. But I only play for fun, occasionally tournaments with friends who also play a lot so I can only speak for its quality for players who aren't playing competitively or training to as I don't know what someone who is would want in a paddle. But for adults who are better than or at least average ability who play often, these are great paddles. Worth the price increase when compared to the cheapest beginner paddles for sure.

A worthwhile upgrade for the casual, improving player? You bet!
I recently bought this paddle to upgrade from the generic paddles that one typically gets with a home table. Since I am a casual home player, I can't compare this to other paddles from Stiga, Killerspin, or others. But I suspect a lot of people looking at this paddle are like me--casual players who want a step up from junk paddles and want to improve their game, but see the $50 higher-end paddles and think that's rather steep for a hobby. By that standard my paddle has been fantastic. It has improved my game and allowed me to feel a bit more serious without squeezing the grocery budget. The quality is very good, durability good so far early in its lifespan, and it feels fantastic. Casual players will need to remember that the tacky rubber needs to be cleaned, because it picks up quite a bit of dust. Experienced, competitive players already know this, of course, but probably stopped reading this review a long time ago. UPDATE: It's spring 2016 and I'm still kicking with this thing. I'm starting to consider an upgrade to a higher quality paddle, but this does everything I need it to, even a year later. Yeah, it's lost some of the edge off of its tackiness, but it's consistent and it has provided the quality I need to grow as a player.

High quality of the paddle and rubber, poor quality of the sponge
Generally, this paddle has high quality of rubber and baseboard, but decent quality about the sponge. It is worthy the price. It gives the player excellent control and spin, but awful speed. It may be more suitable for recreation and family play. For me, I am an intermediate player with aggressive style, and have played ping pong for many years. All my pervious paddles have fast speed but lack adequate control. However, this paddle totally changes my playing style. I would like to chop the ball other than to smash it with this paddle... Pros. The 5 layer baseboard provides player excellent hitting feeling. It is also light and you can grip it without slipping. The nubber is not sticky, but you can achieve spin easily. The decent sponge and the pure wood absorb the dynamical energy of the ball, so you can get enough time to control the ball. With this reason, this paddle provides excellent control but poor speed. So this paddle may suit defensive player. Cons. The sponge is lack of elasticity. You can find this feature from various aspects. For example, after hitting the ball, the surface is marked with a hole! It is terrible and greatly influences the speed. Another example is that my paddle had indentation in the middle of the top area when it arrived. This is caused by package, shipping and the decent sponge, which has generated irreversible deformation on the sponge.

Really makes a difference for intermediate level players
Before buying this paddle, I wasn't really sure if it really would be worth it or if I would notice any difference but, after using it for a few minutes, the difference was HUGE. I am by no means a professional or even good ping pong player, but after a really short adaptation period (I didn't need more than a few days to get used to it), I really felt I had improved a lot! The paddle is very light and comfortable to handle. I think for its price range it is a very good quality product, and I'm really happy to have bought it. I don't know yet about its durability, but it looks sturdy. The only con I could tell is that there is no case sold with it, but it's very cheap to buy one from elsewhere, so not really a con. I actually do recommend buying one, because the material seems to easily attract dust.

Big upgrade from standard paddles
Me & my wife bought this paddle & the Stiga Alpha which feels very similar. We tried the Stiga Raptor as well but we both didn't like that paddle. The Raptor seems like a nice paddle but to thick & above my skill level. I like to feel feedback when I hit the ball so a 5ply is better for me instead of the 7ply Raptor. I'm a good casual basement player.

Good for the price, but sligtly dented
Seems like a good paddle for the $29 I spent, and quite a step up from the cheapo paddles I typically used. BUT - the surface of the rubber is sligtly uneven (depressed) in a couple of places. Looks like maybe the packaging squished it in one area, or it just wasn't glued right. I'm hoping it will slowly rebound and even itself out over time. But that seems a little disappointing, even if it might not make much difference for a new player like me. It's very light ~130g - most high performance paddles seem to be a bit heavier, like in the 150-190 g range. It also seems fairly slow, despite moderate 2mm sponge rubber. The ball bounces less than on my other paddles, which seems to be a good thing for a relative beginners like me, since I don't seem to send the ball over the back of the table as often when returning hard shots. But the rubber surface is nice and grippy for good spin, and the handle feels good to me. I'd give it 4 stars, but with the surface being dented, I'll go with 3

The perfect beginner racket
As a beginner, I love the control, and it can create some spin. It is a notably slow racket though, which is fine for beginners like me.

Great control.
I have been playing with this racket for about 6 months now and haven't faced a single issue. Great control over the strokes. Spin and speed is a tad low but doesn't feel you are at a disadvantage. Rather you are at an advantage with this racket.
