Compared to this it is like the cheap plastic combs people used to carry in their back pockets versus a new brush. It’s a completely different class. Is it as efficient on animals with a short fur length?** A: I have three cats. One is long haired, one is short haired, and one is VERY short haired. For the long-haired cat, this works well. My short-haired cats, it works less well, but did do a decent job at getting some mats out of the standard short haired cat.
