**Q: Would this be a good a good finish for Hickory axe handles? Traditionally they use boiled linseed oil, although some people use tung oil.**
A: Yes you can definitely use this on axe handles, it's Tung Oil based and like a traditional danish oil.

**Q: Can you add this on top of butcher block already treated with mineral oil?**
A: I would recommend the original Walrus oil cutting board oil. But yes you can put that on an already treated butcher block

**Q: Could I use this to safely seal a kuksa cup?**
A: Every product we make is 100% Food-Safe.

**Q: Does this have a natural coloring or is it clear?**
A: Both. Natural ,as in, it will leave the wood the natural color to that species, because it is clear. It will enhance the natural color and grain patterns a bit because it is hydrating the wood. A good idea of the effect is to wipe the wood with a damp rag (with water.) It will look almost wet with a slight sheen. Certain woods absorb more and will take more coats.

I bought a small container of this to try for some projects using white oak and black walnut. I'm very pleased with the finish and will be buying a larger container once this bottle is finished. It's easy to use and provides a lovely food-safe finish. One downside is that the directions call for waiting 2-4 weeks for it to dry fully (though I washed and began using the cutting board after one week). Also, the label says to discard it two years after opening the container, so I'll try to avoid buying more than I can use in two years.

Used this on raw wood (after a light sand) inside a giant French walnut armoire that was so faded and even a year later it looks amazing and is smooth and you can run your hands over the shelves without getting splinters. It soaks up quickly though and use a thick rag to rub it in. I’d definitely buy it again!
