Instructions for correct assembly included **It is critical that this hardware set is installed in the correct order for proper & safe usage.** Functional note: If your cylinder is sinking while sitting in the chair, the entire gas cylinder must be replaced as an internal seal has worn out. **Q: will this work on a Herman Miller Aeron chair?**
A: YES!!! It will apply to MOST office chairs...... SADLY, I do NOT know WHY this simple repair kit is available @HOME DEPOT, LOWE'S, WALMART, etc..... they would make a lot of $$$ selling this repair kit!!! So many office chairs have been "junked" due to frustration OF NOT being aware of how VERY EASY is it to "do-it-yourself"...... I went to HOME DEPOT and they had SO MANY retainer clips in all different sizes and shaped but NOT the exact retainer clip for 99% office chairs, in which this repair has! It took me LESS THAN 5 MINUTES to repair my beautiful office chair; I was VERY CLOSE to have my office chair salvaged to a thrift store but THANK GOD for the internet and creative businesses for offering niches for such simplistic but very important pieces to save expensive office chairs! I HOPE I ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION??? ;-)

**Q: My piston goes completely through the bottom of my aeron until its touches the floor, does the clip prevent the piston from coming out the lower end?**
A: I was having the same problem with my chair and this repair kit fixed the problem.

**Q: I need screws for the arms of my furmax office chair will this apply?**
A: This kit is for the gas lift cylinder if you still have a screw from the arm and are just missing some id sudjest going to a local hardware store

**Q: what is the body weight limit for this product**
A: Just my opinion, this kit handles 200 ibs. My chairs are not  the large ones made for large people.
