I also do not get foam. I do a 50 - 60 percent water change weekly along with a gravel vac. If you are stll getting foam after a gravel vac and water change I would suggest you give Seachem a call. They have great customer service. When cleaning your tank, give your filter sponge, floss a swish around in used tank water also to remove some of the gunk and put right back in.
