I have regular allergy problems and take 1/2 table per day regularly. Often when we get smoked up in the summer time due to the huge forest fires..... like this year of 2013..... this has been very helpful. I am one of those who are suseptable to the side effects of this product and others like it..... products like Claritin and such will give me a pretty severe headache if I take the full tablet for too many days in a row. So, the half tablet works well, does not give headaches: also, this product works well in conjunction with other forms of anti-histimine without over dose problems. When the smoke was VERY bad for a while (several weeks end to end) I also took 1/2 Claritin at night, and an occassional supplement of the old stand by of the past 50 years, Chlorphiniramine maleate HCI..... another inexpensive generic anithistimine with minimal drowsy type of side effect. If you "need" the help, and are suffering under the effects of serious allergy symptoms, then your body will use these to help without overdose effects! If you do not need it, and take too much of any of these, then the side effects will be felt from headache, drowseyness, to extra dry mouth and sinuses for a few hours. Use them wisely and they are an amazingly good way to avoid useless doctor visits. Buy with confidence for these are every bit as good as the regular brand name products.
