I dont know why so many bad reviews...
This book gives you bits of information, but it's up to YOU to make some research, test it out and expand on them. It's up to you to get something useful for your life. It's not a go-to book or a lemme-show-you-how-to book. It's a that's-what-we-do book. But I am super sure that EVERYBODY is going to find out at least one thing that's gonna have a huge impact on their lives. Something definitely worth the price. I did but I won't share it here, because it's as simple as one sentence that ticks something in your mind, something you have never thought of, something that you simply weren't clever enough to figure out. But thanks to Tim there is this book where you can know about routines and tools successful people use. You just gotta tweak'em and apply them to your own life. Maybe it's fasting once a month, maybe it's a Chrome extension, maybe it's a book you never heard of, or maybe it's a fitness tool you didn't know existed - I'm sure you are gonna get something IMPORTANT out of this book. And that's definitely gonna be worth the price.

Western-centric Advice from Interviewed People, Grouped by Interviewee
This massive book contains lots of actionable advice, grouped into sections first by person, then people-grouped by three categories: Healthy, Wealth, and Wise. They read like podcast interviews, with prompts followed by answers. Most interviews asked the same questions. The advice is actionable, unique, and grounded in reality. Just three problems: 1.) I didn't know most (> 90%) of the people. They received introductions but most seemed like regulars I wouldn't want to emulate. They are heavily Western (Silicon Valley) investor-centric, with very few Chinese/Japanese/Korean Asians, non-UK Europeans, and Australians. 2.) It's hard to find things you've read. Indexing is non-existent, so I have to highlight and transcribe key quotes. There is no glossary of terms, so once you've read something, you lose it. The Table of Contents is just a list of people. And unless you know the person, or have a visual of his or her face, then tough luck tracking down a quote in a 600-page behemoth without any indexing or grouping by topic. 3.) No images. The spiritual animals aren't consistent, as not all interviewees have them. Without faces or images to put to the names, I couldn't remember who said what, unless it was someone I already knew. As such, it felt like reading a short story anthology, where I'd have to annotate topics or quotes that interest me, so I have my own searchable compendium, then search for images or photographs of the people on the internet. Still a good book. Just not something to keep shelved, as it's impossible to reference after-the-fact. Annotate and condense with note-taking as you read, so you have your own collection of meaningful points after finishing the book.

Probably your best book so far, Tim.
I have put 5 stars because it is the most fascinating book I have read this year (and I read a lot). However, there plenty of things I don't completely agree with. Instead of dropping the score, I prefer to write detailed a review. First, it is a great thought-provoking book. If you're someone who consider yourself being incredibly result-oriented, who likes to push boundaries and challenge paradigms, well this book will be to you the equivalent of cocaine for a big spider (there are some very funny videos online about it). I personally loved it, and I am really taking my time to re-read it carefully. Basically, there are 3 sections: Health, Wealth and Wisdom/Happiness. I absolutely loved the 2 last one without a doubt (there are TONS of hidden gems) but I still have some reserves for the Health section. Although Tim and I seem to share a lot of points of view, I think the health section is way too narrow minded. I don't think you can summarize being healthy only by looking at body fat, and the ability to lift heavy weights. I also think it focuses too much on the Keto diet, which is most definitely interesting idea, but doesn't mention other diets that can be even healthier to you. What about the Paleo diet? What about reducing the level of inflammation or autoimmune response? Or maximizing the ratio of good versus bad bacteria in your gut? It is one of the biggest energy sapper you have nowadays. At the end of the day, we all want to be energetic and smart, not necessarily have 6 pack abs. Also the book talks about taking Hallucinogen for brain health. I am not too sure about that, but to say I'd say: "yeah, okay, maybe...". However, what else that makes the brain healthy? Playing a musical instrument and learning new languages are extremely beneficial for the brain. Also, it talks a lot about taking cold shower before going to bed. Maybe this tip is valid in California, however, while living in Canada in cold houses, this tip doesn't make any sense. You're cold all day and you end up being sick of it. However, I did experimented with temperature differences, and a very long hot shower before going to bed does improve sleep significantly. Tim, if you want to reach me to discuss few points, I'm easy to find. Cheers from Montreal Christopher A. Dion
