I don't see this company on the licensed list with umf honey association of nz website. is this honey really umf licensed?

Another consideration is HEAT. Even if it is UMF certified, heat will affect the quality and efficacy. Some manuka honeys are heated briefly to eliminate mold, etc. Also, shipping in hot weather can also adversely affect the honey. I have been using Kiva Manuka Honey lately and emailed the seller,  Kiva Health, asking if their honey is completely unheated and where the honey is being shipped from. They chose not to answer. I have since switched to East Cape Te Araroa brand sold by Koru Naturals. They ship their honey through Priority Mail with cold packet enclosed to minimize exposure to heat. They are responsive to all questions and concerns. I have NO affiliation with any company. I have been using Manuka Honey for almost 20 years and have learned that there are vast differences in quality and care and that there are a lot of fraudulent "manuka honey" products on the market.

Is this honey contained Hydrogen Peroxide?

All honey that is not processed with heat or otherwise denatured produces enzymatic peroxide activity, in the least irritating way suitable for consumption.  Manuka honey is distinguished by it’s antimicrobial action over and above that which is attributable to peroxide; the degree of efficiency is measured by the UMF factor.  It’s correct to say this is 100% pure honey I believe, but yes it does deliver natural peroxide as well as other antiseptic factors.

Yes it is in a plastic container, which at first I thought was strange for honey. It does say that the container is BPA free.

Does this product help acne?

Yes manuka honey helps with acne. You would apply it to the affected area instead of acne cream after cleansing with soap and water.
