I also did not want to drill holes into the walls or attach anything that could never be removed. Especially since this is a rental house. So when I saw this tape I had to get it!!The tape is rated to hold up to 10 pounds and it hold true to itself. The tape is extremely easy to use and hold very well!!The only downside is trying to peel it off. Be best way to remove the tape is to use a heat gun or a hair dryer on really high and that usually makes it really easy to peel Other than that you might need a razor blade!!!!You get a really good amount! I really like this tape. I have bought it in the past and has really held. I used it on the mosquito netting on the outside of my sliding doors. Granted, netting isn't very heavy, but there's a of traffic going in and out putting pressure on the sides I have tapped for a snug fit. After, 5 moths it's holding has good as the day I put it up. I can into the entry way once and cracked an ankle when I slipped on the rug/throw I had down. So I tapped it and it has with stood a lot of traffic/vacuuming for two years before it became a little loose and I replaced it. I have used it at my deer lease but for the life of me I can't remember what it was, but if it had failed I could tell you what it was. Great Tape....

However, I have cats. Cats are jerks. They ripped what I was using this on right off the door less than five hours after using it. So I can’t tell you if it lasts or how it held up. I will not buy again as the cats are still here and still awful. But if you do not have cats this would be good for you.

Used this tape to mount a heavy chromed brass hand held shower head holder to the shower wall. The holder was intended to be attached to the wall with 3 screws. Seeing as I didn't want to drill holes in the tile to mount it, Scotch Extreme Mounting Tape is used instead. About 2 square inches of tape were used. Pressed it to a cleaned glossy flat title, let it sit for an hour or so, then installed the trim ring and hung the shower head. The shower head and mount probably weighs a pound or so. Tested it by trying to pull it off the tile, but stopped because I was afraid the tile was going to pull off the wall. It is sticking that well. So far, the high humidity conditions in the shower stall are not affecting it.I have used this mounting tape outdoors and it didn't fail even after 8 years or so.

This is the second time I have bought this double sided tape. It is definitely heavy duty and sticks extremely well. It is the same type of tape used on car exteriors to attach door protectors and spoilers. It is a rubbery center which allows you to stretch it rather thin if you want without losing its adhesive property. It is not that easy to remove so I would recommend it as a permanent tape. It is resistant to water and dust/dirt. A good product to have on hand. You do not need to use much so 1 roll should last you a while fir home and car use. Much better product than other similar tapes which have a sponge center which is prone to water and dust and eventually loses its adhesicpve strength even when stored as a roll. This brand does not do this due to the strong adhesive and rubber center which is resistant to the environment regardless how long you have the roll.

I used this indoors & ye gods, is this sticky!I used it to secure some large computer monitors down to a standing desk so they wouldn't wobble. I can pretty much rock the monitors & hey stay put, with just a couple of inches of tape holding them down.It doesn't feel that sticky when you remove it,but obviously the glue builds up tack over time & is very good.I cannot comment on it's outdoor performance, but I would think it will be pretty decent too.I have never been compensated for a review - good or bad, and never received any products for free, except for one unsolicited (and unwanted) item that I contacted the vendor for an RMA - they told me to donate it, so I did. This means that my reviews are my own genuine feedback & no one has biased them.

Overall I'm satisfied with the buy, but I did expect more out of Scotch's "extreme mounting tape," compared to their normal mounting tape. I had used their normal mounting tape (the white colored one) and it did a fairly good job, so I figured that their "extreme" version of the tape would do an even better job at holding up some heavier pictures and row of lights I have. However, this was not the case. I ended up applying about the same amount of "extreme" tape as I would with the regular tape. Luckily, I got the "extreme" mounting tape on sale, for about $4, otherwise, I would be fairly disappointed paying more for special mounting tape, as I would pay for regular mounting tape. Also keep in mind that the color of the tape may not blend in well with your walls, depending on the color of the room. This was the case for me, because I hung up a row lights and I can see the edges of every square that is holding up the lights.

Scotch is a brand I know makes quality products and this worked so well even on a indoor wall that wasn’t smooth. I don’t mind paying more for something that I know will do the job and last. It’s hard to find durable mourning tape that holds higher pounds! Many people don’t read the actual weight of what it will hold and then they will be disappointed that the mounting tape they purchased doesn’t hold the item they wanted to hang up. I liked the fact that this held up the shelves, diplomas, art, and picture that I was hanging up. I had purchased a small roll at the drugstore so I knew it would work for me!
