Yes for hoops. For studs if they are on a card that can be hung it will work.

Does this stand stand on its own?

Mine came with a cardboard stand on the back, however the weight of the necklaces I’m putting on it cause them to fall forward.

Would a keychain fit on the hook?

They’re not “hooks”. They are basically metal hook things bent up to keep them on. End for sure it would hold a keychain.
