A: There are no pedals a balance bike's purpose is to teach the kids to balance by using their feet.  There are videos on YouTube to show how to progress through balance bike training

A: Yes. I bought it for a 3-year old and she had trouble reaching the pedals so I think with the adjust seat, it should be fine.

**Q: Hello, can I add training wheels to my balance bike?**
A: You really wouldn't want to add training wheels because that defeats the purpose. A balance bike is in lieu of training wheels. There are no pedals on a balance bike.
