I mix 1:1 and there is no change in the vibrancy & boldness of the color or how long the color lasts. I was worried it would lighten the color but it doesn't on a 1:1 mix. I also don't bleach the medium brown hair my daughter's have prior to dying it and the colors are amazing. We've used flamingo pink, red rose, plum, purple, blue, aqua & green. All have turned out far better than I imagined and lasted way longer than I imagined they would. **Q: How long does it last, days wise?** A: It depends on the color and how often you wash your hair. In my own experience the dark blues stay the longest theyll fade to a pastel blue around 20ish washes and stay that way, the purples do the same around 15ish washes and bright pink/turquoise fade between 15-20 washes but with those two ive noticed sometimes they hang on forever and sometimes they fade fast depending on the color you put them on top of, if your hairs been freshly bleached and your putting it on a really light blonde they stay much longer (the same goes for all the colors) but unlike the other colors if your just doing a touch up and adding it over your old color it fades much faster. All of the lighter colors lagoon blue and the light pink fade fast, maybe 10-15 washes and they fade to a sortof ashy pastel version of the color. I will say though ive been using punky color for about a decade and its my favorite dye because unlike most dyes (manicpanic for example) it doesnt fade into gross coppers or greens, it just slowely gets lighter with every wash. Which is nice because it starts really vibrant and pretty but eventually will fade to an equally pretty soft pastel so its like getting a dozen colors for the price of one lol and of all the other dyes ive tried this one lasts longest, smells nicest, and doesnt damage my hair (the bleach does though unfortunately haha) **Q: Is this dye vegan?** A: It says it is vegan in both the product listing and in the product description. **Q: I was just wondering if this would do any good on hair that has been bleached twice so it has a copperish color in it still im going for the platinum** A: It will certainly condition it a bit, give it a bit of a gloss... but it's not going to be able to lighten a copper color into platinum. It's not going to strip any color out at all, what it does is give you a very sheer coat of grayish-purple, just right for dulling down a bright bleached blond into a silvery platinum, but I think you're going to have to strip the remaining color out with bleach. Make sure you bleach it long enough to lighten it past that baby chicken yellow stage if you really want platinum. If you've already bleached twice and are still seeing copper you may want to get some help from a stylist to achieve platinum without burning your hair into breakage. I use a mixture of Apple Green, Bright Yellow, and Alpine Green to get a bright, warm green color that isn't quite neon but close to it. It's stunning in the sun! Apple is true green that's a bit darker on its own than the swatch pictures but lightens up to a granny smith shade with a few drops of the yellow. Add more and the green just gets brighter and brighter. Alpine is an almost blackened green with a bit of a blue undertone. I like to use it as a root shadow or to correct my Apple and Yellow mix if I get too heavy on the yellow and need to deepening it back up. Great coverage over prelightened hair (I lift to a level 9 for my color) and the gel consistency allows for precise application and makes it harder to overwork the color as you massage it in. It's not drippy and never comes out patchy unless my base is already uneven. The colors fade well and generally on tone. With my usual hair routine I get a lot of life with my green staying very vivid between touch ups. The candy scent is also pleasant though quite strong. The ONLY drawback with this dye is that it will bleed basically the whole time it's in your hair so avoid any white or pastel clothing if you don't want them stained.
