I like this stuff! Love the clean, lime peel scent.
Good for clearing cat urine stench. Also good for infrequent cleaning of my stinky, sweaty yoga shred mat in summer. I usually use a gentle lavender cleaner made for yoga mats, but a good dose of this got it pristine smelling. I'm willing to chance infrequent mat cleanings with this as needed in future (wipe the yoga mat thoroughly with water afterwards. I'm not sure this stuff is meant for your skin. I had no reaction and my skin is somewhat sensitive, just be safe) I'm extremely sensitive to smells, though I enjoy good smells, high quality perfumes, etc. I detest chemical air fresheners, most scented candles, glade plug-ins, etc. Febreeze is just foul and they all give me toxic allergic reactions. My 20 year old, arthritic kitty could no longer get into her special enclosed litter box that I set up for her in my upstairs bedroom suite where she mostly stayed. She ended up using puppy pads outside the box for the most part. 1.5 years of ammonia stink, leaks onto my 112 year old fir wood floor, and puppy pads, bless her. She did her best, my little angel. She passed two weeks ago (and my other kitty manages to use the litter boxes in the basement). So with great relief, I removed the whole litterbox setup from upstairs. During the dotage of two kitties, who have both since passed, everytime I opened the door to upstairs, the stink was there, lingering, stressful, and I now realize, physically depressing. I realize I dreaded going upstairs. But my kitties enjoyed their lives and I loved them, so we did our best, using countless puppy pads (get your puppy pads at Sam's Club: 120 pads for about $16. Significantly cheaper than anywhere else), expensive electric air filters, and gallons and gallons of enzymatic and oxy cleaners. I used to use Natures Miracle by the gallon in the red bottle. It worked on cat urine, but left behind a very unnatural, lung piercing odor that actually made me sick. I switched to Natures Miracle Oxy orange scented cleaner. I don't think it worked as thoroughly on the urine, but it helped a lot and I could tolerate the scent. It had a more natural, fresh scent. I bought gallons and gallons of this. Every time I got a new bottle, I kept the aluminum seal on and carefully pierced it maybe 10 times times with a pin, so I could generously sprinkle it on messes, but not waste it by pouring it all out at once. This works really well. So after removing her box the final time, I drenched the wood floor of the litterbox alcove with a half gallon of N.M. Oxy orange and cleaned the wood stairs and everything with the Oxy cleaner. No more stink wafting out when I opened the door to upstairs! BUT still a faint pee pee scent when I went into the alcove. So I ordered this Biokleen lime enzymatic cleaner. It has a strong but pure lime peel scent when you first pour it out. Nothing chemical, nothing offensive to me. Just a clear, clean, gratifying scent that goes away once it dries. And it takes the pee smell with it! I sprinkled about a third gallon onto the 6' x 6' area of wood floor, thoroughly wet a Swiffer pad with the Biokleen and scrubbed it into the cracks in floor that had become darkened with pee pee leaks. I kept pouring more on the bad spots to keep the floor wet for several hours. I poured more into those cracks several times over the next couple days. Used over half gallon in the end. My old floors are pretty rustic, and had already been damaged by the pee, so I was willing to risk some minor additional damage to floor. It was worth it to me to get the odor out. Biokleen left a sheen on the wood floor and in the close up picture, you can see the dark areas. Pee made them dark first, and I really dont know if the Biokleen made them any worse, but today, the pee odor is GONE, simply gone. Yes. The Biokleen is good value too, compared to any of the Natures Miracle or other products marketed to pet owners. One more note, I used it on my gel foam mattress topper where my remaining kitty peed, (maybe commenting on his sister's death). The pee scent is gone, but a fake limey scent lingers. Doesn't smell as clean on mattress topper as does on other surfaces. It may not be completely dry yet, so I'm turning it over and keeping fans on it during day.

Oh my God, this is AMAZINGLY TRUE!!!!
It actually works. I have two rescue dogs that are now 17 years young which have begun to have occasional accidents. I do clean after each accident, but I was afraid if they smelt it in the carpet, they’d continue to go there instead of selling me to let them out. This Biokleen Bac-Iut Enzyme Stain and Order remover completely took it out. I did have to clean a couple of times as with the blue light I could see where it wasn’t quite gone. But after two cleaning (spray soaking, resting to dry point, then shampooing it out), it’s completely gone. All stains, all smells, all fears are gone now. The proof is in the fact that they came, sniffed around without focusing on an area, and left. There was no discoloration on my area rug, no stickiness left after spraying or shampooing. The fresh smell lasts a very long time (so far 24hrs), and no sign of lingering scent for them to grab hold of. It comes out very easily in my spray bottle without leaks (sometimes if it’s too watery the bottle will leak no matter what you do). Of all the order eliminators I’ve tried, this is the absolute best. To be honest, they could charge more and I’d paid it. This is one product that’s truly worth every cent spent on it. Key thing is to do exactly as they say in the directions. Vacuum, spray to point of saturation, allow to completely dry, flip rug (if possible), spray other side, dry, then clean the entire carpet (they didn’t say that, but I simply couldn’t leave that in my carpet even if it truly eliminates it. The thought wouldn’t allow it😖). For sure, you won’t regret your purchase. I very highly recommend this product for removal of milder smells as well as pet accidents.

The stains disappear before my eyes! It’s like magic!
I steam cleaned my carpet with hot water because it was dirty and it needed cleaned. Come to find out when my son had his dog over here. She must’ve peed on the carpet so the next day I smelled a pee, smell in the carpet and I bought this stuff because no matter what you do it wouldn’t come out. But the smell has completely come out. I bought 2 gallons of it because the carpet was really big but the leftover I put in a spray bottle to be used on my stain sheets and things and I could you not it absolutely works and removes the stains unlike anything I’ve ever used before. I got blackberry juice all over my lace tablecloth that had sat like that overnight, and I noticed it and immediately took it off and used some of this cleaner in a spray bottle and it literally disappeared before my eyes. It started out like a deep deep burgundy color and by the time I got my camera out to take a video it had already started working with the first coat I put on. Then, as I was spraying on the second coat, it completely disappeared. I would absolutely recommend that every one get this and use it in your cleaning stuff because it works on all types of textiles, fabrics, etc. And keep it in your cleaning arsenal because I’ve never found something that works this well. The scent is not too strong. It’s very light. And when I get it on my hands, it doesn’t dry them out or feel like a chemical. It’s actually one of the best products I think I’ve ever used. I am just a regular stay at home mom who lives on a farm. I have no affiliation with anything I don’t ever leave reviews, but in case this product would help someone I had to share.

Smells Good, Cleans Deep—My Go-To Enzyme Cleaner
I’ve been using the 128‑oz Biokleen Bac‑Out Enzyme Stain & Odor Remover for a few months now, and here’s my take from real-life use: ⸻ ✅ What I Love • Effective on tough stains and odors It tackled old pet stains on my carpet and even wine drips on my couch. After letting it sit, the spots and smells disappeared without me having to scrub madly . • Safe and eco-friendly No harsh chemicals—plant-based, biodegradable formula with live enzymes. It’s certified by Green Seal for safer cleaning . Great for a pet-filled and kid-friendly home. • Fresh, subtle scent The lavender-lime scent is mild and pleasant—no chemical bleach smell. Even better: it disappears quickly, leaving things smelling neutral . • Multipurpose cleaning I’ve used it inside my washing machine for sweaty gym clothes, on carpet spills, upchuck from my cat, and even diaper stains. It’s tackled them all successfully . ⸻ ⚠️ What to Know Before You Buy • Use enough and let it work You need to saturate the stain and let the enzymes dwell for at least 10 minutes—longer for deeper-set messes. Wiping it too soon cuts effectiveness . • Big jug, big space The 128-oz bottle is a bit bulky, so I ended up transferring some into a smaller spray bottle for spot cleaning convenience . • Some shipping issues A few buyers mentioned leaks during delivery. Mine arrived okay, but worth knowing if your bottle comes via mail . ⸻ 🧭 Final Verdict If you’re dealing with organic stains—like pet mess, food, wine, or workout clothes—and want a safer, eco-friendly option, this formulation really delivers. Just use it as directed (saturate and wait), and be aware of the bottle’s size. In short: powerful, plant-based enzyme cleaner that works across multiple mess types—just give it a bit of space to work, and maybe prep a spray bottle for ease of use.

omgah it actually works
i got the wrong product (my 128 oz was for carpet) and it wasn't until after i opened the safety seal that it was wrong, but i wanted to use it on my couch for cat pee. my cat peed on top of 3 layers of throw blankets and i didn't see any stains so i wasn't fully aware it went on the couch until i sat around the area after removing the blankets. i don't think the pee got deep enough but it was enough that the smell lingered. i received my cleaner this morning, poured it in a spray bottle and just sprayed the area. LITERALLY a few minutes later the smell was GONE. the level of stress this would've saved me from previous cat pee issues. it's 4 stars bc it's the wrong product but best believe i'm getting the multipurpose one to clean my house!!!

A Biokleen fan for life!
I'm so grateful for having discovered Biokleen. My dogs had somehow agreed that my dining room rug was the designated indoor toilet. Now they're both house trained, but that was their spot. We had just recently tried to clean it with our Hoover carpet cleaner. It kinda cleaned the spots, but the urine odor was still present. After reading a review where someone said to first spray the Biokleen on the carpet and let it sit for about 10 minutes and THEN put the undiluted Biokleen in the carpet cleaner and use it, that's what we did. It worked like a charm! The whole house now has a fresh citrus scent when you walk in the door. I bought 2 gallons from jump, and I believe that was a great investment. We only had to go over the rug once after initially spraying it. That was over a week ago, and the urine smell is still gone and the house still smells great! I highly recommend Biokleen. As long as they don't cut corners to save money and keep the same consistency of the product, I'll buy this for life! (You know how these days, companies reduce the quality of their products and keep or raise the price, and pretend we as consumers don't notice - until we move on to a different product. I just hope and prays these folks don't fall into that very unnecessary trap and actually maintain the quality. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!)

Save yourself a ton of time, money, and frustration and buy this first!!
My male cat has always had issues with marking outside the litter box but the problem really skyrocketed when we moved into a new house and got a new kitten. Suddenly he started peeing on the carpet all across the house which he never used to do. I tried literally 6-8 different cleaners (can't even remember how many at this point) to get the smell out, including some of the most highly recommended ones, but nothing worked to get it out completely even after treating the area multiple times. I could still smell it if I got close and he certainly could as well because he kept re-marking the same spots. I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the carpet almost every single day and I was completely at my wit's end. After yet more research I saw this cleaner being recommended in a few different places and decided to give it a try, even though it was a bit pricey and I had basically no hope left. First of all it smells really good, definitely the best of all the cleaners I've tried: a light, pleasant lime-y scent. But more importantly...it WORKS! I was shocked when I used it on one of the spots and it completely took the smell of urine out, even when I stuck my nose in the carpet to see if I could still smell it. It literally kills the stench completely, you can tell a night and day difference just walking into the room after cleaning with it. Even a week later I can still smell the cleaner on the carpet but in a GOOD way, it just smells nice and clean. As I treated all the spots throughout the house I found that it took care of 95% of them on the first treatment. Only a few times did I have to treat a spot twice, which is a small price to pay. But I know it's working because my cat is no longer going back to mark those same spots even several weeks later!!! Hallelujah!!! This cleaner, along with a special brand of litter to attract cats, has cut way down on my cat's accidents. I know he'll likely do it again at some point but I no longer dread it as much now that I have this cleaner in my arsenal. I only wish that I had started with this one because I could have saved myself a ton of time and money!

Best laundry/stain cleaner out there. Grease too!
Best stuff around! Great for really getting things out of clothing. Grease, coffee, mustard, ketchup, blood, pretty much everything. Grab a spray bottle to treat pre-wash stains, pits stains or deodorant residue. Pour some in the washer with the load. Pair it with oxo bright and mollys suds, perfect NON FRAGRANCE cleaner. Keeps clothes looking newer longer. I also use it for cleaning my range hood plastic filters that get loaded with grease, window AC filters and dryer filter. You will see why I rave about this stuff. It’s a must have in the house.

Excellent stuff - persistant stains, and odours, obliterated.
Amazing stuff! Wish I'd found out about it years ago. Old marks on wool carpets, wooden floors, laundry (including blood stains), upholstery AND lingering pet stains - GONE all tackled by this one product. Laundered many times i'd come to the conclusion that I was never going to get some spots of blood out of a sheet & mattress protector; despite repeated previous washes with biological pods, Vanish spot cleaner + Vanish in-wash powder. But, after spot-treating with Bac-Out, it took just one wash - ONE - for marks to totally disappear. We have three dogs. Some products on the market mask smells with a synthetic fragrance, but Bac-Out definitely brakes down the compounds that lie at the route of the issue. I filled a misting spray bottle with Bac-out and (after patch testing) misted the fabric sofas before going to bed. It proved excellent at ELIMINATING doggy smells from sofas and dog beds. It also works to totally clean up after any pet house training accidents, as it destroys the scent molecules that signpost the spot to dogs long after we can detect anything. Now to try a washing machine deep-clean. Apparently it's good for that too!!

Great product, will buy again.
Buying in bulk is great value for money I have been using for a few months and it is still almost full. It is the same product as the smaller bottles, it smells the same (unscented) but also smells great. It is definitely effective at stain removal. The bottle is resilient and it is easy to use, i use the lid to measure for each wash. I also used it clean my carpet with my carpet washer and it was great for that too. Thanks for the great product.

It works
My cat peed on my bed mattress (my fault. She sleeps on my bed at night. In the morning I closed the door, and forgot she was in the room). Luckily the pee didn’t penetrate too deeply. I followed the instructions on a YouTube video - ‘How to get rid of pet urine smell’ (in my case it was how to prevent it). It worked. Ten days later absolutely no smell.

Best thing ever.
This stuff is amazing. I have a hallway that was targeted by both my cats and dogs. I tried everything to get rid of the smell. Spent an absolute fortune. I saw this, although I did think it pricey, I thought why not. Best decision ever made. I put it in a spray bottle and sprayed it neat on the floor. Saturated it. Left it sit for a bit then blotted it with a damp mop. Sprayed it again for good measure and just left it this time. I'm absolutely delighted to say that the foosty, dirty, peepee smell is gone. I no longer want to gag and cry simultaneously anymore. Beyond happy.
