Ich hatte bereits den Vorgänger seit 2 Jahren in Verwendung und dieser war schon das Maß aller Dinge was die Lüfterhalterungen angeht. Aber dieser neue Halter ist der Wahnsinn. Leichtes wackeln in der Vertikalen wie beim Vorgänger gibt es nicht. mein iPhone 6 Plus hält bombenfest, selbst wenn man es bedient, gibt die Halterung kaum nach. Die Kabelführung ist jetzt endlich für fast alle Kabelstärken geeignet. Ich benutze im Auto ein dickes Anker-Kabel und es passt hervorragend einen und rutscht nicht heraus, wie beim Vorgänger.Die größte Verbesserung zeigt sich jedoch direkt an der bBefestigung im Lüftungsgitter. Der Gummi um die Klammer ist jetzt aus einem einzigen Stück. beim Vorgänger waren es vier ein zelte, die gerne mal abgehen, wenn man die Halter abmacht und dann verschwinden die Gummiteile im Lüfter. Außerdem ist die Befestigung jetzt eher eine Klammer und die innere Struktur ist etwas elastischer, dadurch hält lässt sich der Halter bei verschiedenen Lüftungsgitter-Dicken fest anbringen und er rutscht auch bei starken Erschütterungen nicht heraus.

I bought one for myself and my teenage daughter. The clip slides right onto the vent and stays in place. In my daughters Ford Escape, I can slide the phone up to the highest point and still get air flow from the lower part of the vent. The vents in my Kia Soul are shorter and wider, so I lose air flow from that vent. Not an issue for me, but maybe for some. I ordered two more today for my other two daughters. What I like most is that it isn't distracting to look at when the phone is not in it. Some of the ones I researched before buying were so big and bulky that I thought "yuk". This one is so small you barely notice it. Also, the clips don't prohibit swiping left or right. We have iphones and use face unlock. What my daughter likes most is that it is positioned so that her face automatically unlocks it and she doesn't need to enter a code. My other daughter likes that she can record the street in front of her as she drives. This mount is very similar to the one sold at Apple Store for $30. The model number is identical except for the last two letters. The style is the same, so for the price this was awesome. The only downside is that it when I take the phone out, the entire mount slides out and I need to put it back in. It slides right back onto my vent easily so it's not a big deal for me, but if you are in and out of your car all day long, it might get irritating. If there are problems with the items over time I will update my review. There are a lot of mounts that are less than this and a lot that are more, this one seems great for us... good quality and mid-range price of $18.

The best phone holder! I have one for each car and even gave them to my friends. I’ve used previous vent mounts before that always stuck out with a ball joint and they were super annoying to take my phone out. This one is snug against the vent which makes it easier to take my phone out. Because I use them in different vehicles with different phones (me and my partner), each vehicle has its own optimal placement on the vent and for each phone. It works for both horizontal and vertical vents.
