I usually make a 10% solution using distilled water, by heating the water and crystals in a small glass jar to around 175° for 30 minutes or until the crystals fully melt stirring every few minutes. After it cools, I apply it with a cotton ball and leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse the area thoroughly for several minutes with water to neutralize the acid
