can be used with flat shes?

Yes, it can be used with flat shoes. I put them on the ball of the foot part of the shoe sole. The adhesive sometimes gives way with lots of wear so have to be glued or replaced. But they work well to prevent shoes from slipping.

Do they interfere with comfot?

Not one bit. They are put on the bottom outside of the shoe.

Ladies, how do these work when you're tottering as gracefullly as possible in your heels across the slick restaurant floor trying not to wipe out?

I used them successfully on the base of sandals that had become slick. They’ll prevent your shoe from slipping or sliding, but not your balance if your heels are too high.
