He normally just leaves them in his bag until all the mud has dried hard! After his most recent match he used this and it works really well, it’s a bit difficult for a 9 year old to apply consistent pressure to clean the boots, but as an adult I found it easy and helped him. It works best on soft mud, so important to use as soon as possible before all the mud dries hard. He now has clean boots ready for the next match. I would agree with the comments about the boot buddy not holding enough water, but this is easily solved by carrying a water bottle in the car to refill quickly. The tool on the other end of the boot buddy is really good at removing mud from between the studs. Sometimes we clean the boots at home where we have quick access to the outside tap, but by refilling and using the boot buddy we no longer get cold wet hands and feet! Overall I think this is a good product, probably a bit over priced, but it’s effective and it works; so I would recommend it. One happy dad at least!
