Fantastic caliper
I checked the product detail before placing the order. The caliper is 82 grams, this means the material can't be stainless steel. However, despite that the type of material is not mentioned in the description, I recommend you to buy this caliper for home use, it is perfect. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Vernier Caliper - Plastic Construction, accurate enough
This is by no means a pro tool. But it's accurate enough for hobbyists and is a great value for the money. Made entirely of plastic. I have to reset the 0 every time I use it, but not a big deal. Accuracy is within acceptable tolerances for hobbyist watchmakers.

Not worth buying
The caliper was very week built it bends and stretches easily with the slightest force. This affects the measuring and it is a deal breaker especially if you are measuring small items. Whats worse was it gave a different reading 'every time' and the differences were big.

Its okay for hobbies but not for serious measurements the built quality is really bad, build from cheap plastic, feels like a toy, and the head flexes which can affect the measurement
