When we put it together it looks quite low in height. Does anyone know whether this is correct?

I thought that too. But once you have it up the clips slide along the heated rails allowing you to make it taller. Hope that makes sense. X

How much power dos it take?

It’s cheaper to run than a tumble drier.

Does it come with a cover to keep the heat in?

No cover comes with it and I don't recommend it at all as it warms up only around the bars. I turned it on for over 24 hours and the cloths were wet still.
