My 13 year old cat loves this food!

My cat loves these stinky little nuggets. Seems like good quality and a healthy choice for our little girl 🐈! Blue Buffalo has always been reliable for good ingredients, and she loves the taste. My other cat is starting to prefer this crunchy food now, too! The fish smell is a little stinky but it dissipates. ;)

This food made an incredible difference in my cats coats. It's kind of expensive but it keeps my cats healthy and is cheaper than vet bills. The fish seems to be really hard to find and I've never bought the chicken. The cats can tell the difference between this and other premium foods.

The cat seems to like it, but he doubles as a pig and has only ever turned his nose up to one snack brand. Buy this if you feed grain-free.

Cats didn’t like it

All of our cats had serious digestive issues. One in particular needed a vet-recommended high fiber diet to stay regular. We wanted to get "healthier" grain-free dry cat food because most of the cheap stuff uses corn gluten as a main ingredient. Most of the dry grain-free cat foods were less than 2% fiber. Blue Buffalo Freedom Grain-Free Indoor is 7% fiber, the highest of all the grain-free dry foods we looked at. Our cats have a bowl of chicken flavor available all day and they get the fish flavor as a treat in the evenings. They seem to love it, especially the fish flavor. Plus, we were able to take the plugged up cat off laxatives with the high fiber diet. The ingredients are still questionable to me: Tapioca starch, peas, potato starch, powdered cellulose, flaxseed, sweet potatoes, carrots, blueberries, cranberries... those don't sound like normal cat foods. Compared to most other dry foods, however, this definitely seems to be a good choice. Our cats have been eating it for almost two years now. Update: Both times we've bought the fish flavor in an 11lb bag our cats refuse to eat it. I don't know if it's a quality control issue or finicky cats. We've had no issues with 11lb bag of chicken flavor or 5lb bags of either flavor, but we won't buy fish flavor in 11lb bags anymore.

We buy this brand and flavor all the time for our cat. It's great! And the price listed here is $2 cheaper than at Petco. We used to feed him Friskies, but he started getting really sick and throwing up all the time. So we switched to a Costco brand all natural catfood, but he kept throwing up and acting sluggish. We switched to Blue Buffalo Freedom Grain, and it was like night and day for him. He stopped throwing up, he got his energy back, and he's even lost his fat and is trimmer. He poopes more regularly, and just seems so much happier. It's definitely the most expensive cat food I've ever bought, but it's totally worth the price.

My pet was constantly having ear infections prior to switching to grain free food. This stuff has made her much more healthy & her coat is so bright & shiny. She loves it! I will keep buying from blue buffalo!
