I want to buy for my parents, but wondered if the imigration officer will hassle my parents to remove the passport from the holder? They fit too snug.

I've traveled to 58 countries and most have asked to remove the cover. If you travel frequently, especially to humid or wet climates, get a cover. I really like this cover since it is snug...keeps the footprint small. It's almost the exact size of a US Passport. If you only travel 1-2x a year, you can probably do w/o. Someone said it's another thing to fumble with. This is true. But when you travel frequently, you pretty much have a routine (remove your watch, stash your phone, etc...) and removing the cover would just be added to that list.
