Exotic Nutrition Garden Fresh Re-Hydrate - High Calcium Dried Fruit & Vegetable Mix - for Sugar Gliders, Marmosets, Parrots, Conures, Iguanas, Turtles, Lizards, Bearded Dragons, & Other Small Pets

I have 3 parrots that I make fresh veggie chop for every few days. I generally add fresh greens, cilantro, basil, broccoli, etc. However with the recent cyclospora outbreak this summer, I'm not to keen on giving my birds raw veggies. I had purchased some freeze dried chop out of Canada but it couldn't get here fast enough. I grabbed this off Amazon hoping it would suffice. And all three of my birds DEVOUR it! I will most likely continue to use it along with their regular mix I make however I will limit it only due to the fact that it's high in calcium which can be an issue for parrots - but that's no fault of the product! I am so glad I found this! It saved the day!

Just as described! The bag is resealable, which is always a plus. The rehydration is super easy. Just put some of the feed in the bowl and add water. It only takes a couple minutes, so it's no big deal if you need to add a little more water to get your desired results. The smell isn't bad at all, but it's strong enough to draw my bird (and other animals, I'd assume) to it and get her interested. My bird (green cheek conure) doesn't really like vegetables. She's a fruit girl through and through. I've made it my mission to find some form of veggies that she'll actually eat. I just got this re-hydratable food today, and so far so good! I put some in her favorite foraging toy along with some other seeds and fruits. I was expecting her to just pick around the veggies and go for the fig, papaya, and apple. To my surprise, she actually has eaten some of the carrot, cabbage, squash, and green beans! This is farther than I've gotten with any other sort of veggie food or treat, so I'm happy.

I just received my package today and my green check conure seems to like it. I’ve been trying to add veggies and fruits in her diet to keep her healthy. This product is very convenient and the veggies/fruits rehydrate pretty quick. I hope it stays that way.

Buyer beware...This is a great product, my box turtle loves it. However, this last bag had 2 pieces of plastic in it. One was like a brown grocery bag piece and the other was a harder plastic. If they had gone un-noticed and served to my box, any number of health hazards could have happened, even death. The company was kind and sent a replacement bag, but I just felt that anyone who buys the product should be mindful. That is the only reason for 3 stars.

This is perfect for my African Grey’s I mix it with their chop I make at home. Super easy to make & mix it in your birds food. Happy birds happy life!! Great price!!
