Great book for my class.a lot of good information

I NEED THIS BOOK FOR SEMINARY CLASS, WHEN I READ THE PREFACE I WAS HOOKED ,LOTS OF HISTORY AS TOHOW THE CHURCHES GOT STARTED AND VARIOUS OPPOSITION THEY HAD TO OVERCOME I RECOMMEDN THIS BOOK TO ANY ONE WHO WANTS TO LEARN ABOUT CHURCH ADMINISTRATION AS WELL AS HISTORY

I found the author's insight very helpful but limited in scope. He focuses most of the text on a Baptist perspective. That leaves many other church structures out in the cold. I will tell you that this is one of our texts for our denominational methodist studies. It was probably the most authoritative at the time the studies were complied. There is another text by Floyd Flake that is more appropo.

Very enlighten and informational.Different culture work in different ways but this book shares on how to create a budget, using new technology and organizing church boards and committees.This book is not only for Pastor's but for anyone who is interested in knowing how to run a church from the business side.

It is a great read and meets need of church today
