Hands down, this is the best chalk in the world. It truly lives up to its reputation—it is so smooth to write with on a chalkboard, and it doesn't break easily anytime I try to write something important on the board. The colors, both neon and regular, are so vibrant on the board, and really make my letters and topics pop so that they're visible all around. And for me, the best part is that unlike other cheap chalk I've used before, the chalk does not sound scratchy or make shrill sounds as it glides along the surface of the board—it's like writing with butter! ❤️ Not many office or school supplies feel like this, so it gets my seal of approval. Of course, I do love the fact that it's is imperceptive in the dust it leaves behind—honestly, I don't even notice any dust at all as I write, not even on my hands. Even without the wax coating, I don't get s whole lot of chalk color on my hands by the time I finish writing on the board. The chalk itself is the perfect size and thickness for writing—not to skinny that it becomes brittle and breaks, but not to thick that it feels too chunky in the hand for writing. And though proprietary chalk holders do exist for the Hagaromo chalk, I personally don't believe it's necessary, since the chalk leaves so little dust behind. It's also impressive how the chalk erases cleanly—even the colored chalk disappears from the board after erasing it, leaving no trace behind of its existence. My only gripe was the way Amazon handled packaging my chalk. There was barely any bubble wrap or cushioning in the box to keep them from arriving broken in pieces. Some of the sticks of chalk survived shipping, but about 80% of the other chalk pieces where broken when I took them out from their box. I still use the pieces, and they still perform well, but I'm just disappointed about how the chalk arrived in pieces rather than whole. This is definitely not Hagaromo's fault, because they take great care in both crafting and packaging their chalk before it gets shipped out internationally. All in all, the chalk itself is fantastic—I will definitely be buying this again! Hagaromo has turned me into a fan. I may test these to see what other applications the colored chalk can be used for in chalkboard writing, most especially in calligraphy or chalkboard art applications.

If writing is what you do, then this is the chalk for you! Smooth crisp lines. Bold white color that stands out clearly from the blackboard. The sticks are lite, maneuverable, and fit well in the hand. Truly a wonderful surprise to have found Hlagoromo Fulltouch Chalk.

I had seen a show on this chalk and had to try it. I used it on a black board at school and it was much better than regular old school chalk!

This is chalk like you remember it. On a well seasoned blackboard these things can’t be beat; glides smoothly over the surface, easy to completely erase.

TLDR - 8.5/10 to save you some reading, have a better day than yesterday today! First of all, I hope whoever reads and processes this review, and those they care for, are well and safe today. Try to look after your health today! Now, for this review itself, I will be fair and honest - I have barely used chalk before, outside of a classroom, which was only, if you can believe it a few times as a student. Then the whiteboards arrived upon us. I heard about this chalk from the teacher subreddits and similar subreddits, as well as some youtube videos. I am giving this chalk 4 stars. Here are my reasons - First, the positives, which are a factor here - This chalk writes VERY well, and has great hand feel when writing on a chalkboard. There is no screeching while writing at all, and it feels, odd to say, dreamlike to use. Another couple of positives - this chalk is indeed vibrant, for the color white. I love how it looks on a chalkboard. Also - It is pretty economical I think. I write about two sentences or so with it each day. For my personal use, one stick of this chalk SHOULD last at least 5 days or more for me, at my personal use rate. Now, keeping in mind this is chalk, not a super-ultimate no-problems chalk, here are negatives that I personally experienced- This chalk, when used, does get on your hands, a bit. They say it is coated, and it seems to be I guess. I like that I can't notice that while holding it, But it still leaves dust on the hand when used, which is opposite what they claim. I don't mind the dust at all, and I'm unsure how chalk on hands usually is - Will a cloud of dust form after writing one word? This doesn't do that, so maybe it's an improvement, I dunno. Another one is erasing - I honestly am mixed on this, I have a cheap cloth as an eraser for now (forgot to buy even a basic eraser, sorry.) and haven't used water on my chalkboard yet as well. It erases well the first few times, but the residue builds up on a board. Maybe the board quality matters also? Also, I bought a pack of this white chalk, and a pack of the multi color fulltouch, and in both, at least one piece of chalk was broken. So the packaging is, actually, not perfect. I could not test the Non Toxic claims. Also I am not insinuating anything, however they say the chalk is natural, but what about the coating? If it is wax, is it a safe one? Is there safe wax that is non-toxic? Sorry for leaving you with a possibly tough choice whether to buy or not, but hopefully this helps you! Overall - 8.5/10 I love using this chalk, alot actually, but there is some inaccuracy here.

I teach a weekly class to adults, and use a chalkboard. The chalk I was using was terrible. It was the Crayola brand, and it screeched when I would write on the board, causing everyone to shudder. It would break and skip. It left marks on the board. I hated that chalk! I thought to myself, there has got to be some decent chalk somewhere! After doing a bit of research, I found this chalk. The reviews sounded great, but I was still skeptical. But I couldn't continue to use the chalk I had, it was so awful. I ordered this chalk and it arrived quickly. I didn't have a chalkboard to try it on at home, so I had to wait until my weekly class. When it was time to write on the chalkboard, I announced to the class that I had gotten some new chalk, which was supposed to be the greatest chalk in the world. Everyone laughed and asked if I had tested it yet, and I said no! This will be the first time, in front of everyone. So I pulled out a piece of the chalk and started to write on the board. Oh! It was SO heavenly! I said out loud, "Oh, wow! This is NICE!" Everyone could even see for themselves how nicely it was writing. And the feel! It's so silky and smooth on the board! No more skin-tingling screeching! No more skipping and breaking! The running joke I have with my class is that I'm a great speller when I'm not writing on a chalkboard. At one point I was writing a word with this new heavenly chalk, and I was spelling out the letters as I wrote, and I said, "Hey! This chalk is even making me a better speller!" Haha! I used to dread having to write on the board. But now I'm looking forward to it! I was telling my Mom about my new heavenly chalk, and she also teaches a class and had similar yucky chalk, so she ordered this heavenly chalk for herself. She used it in her class last week and she loved it. I'm so glad that I found this chalk!

I ordered this chalk for my girlfriend who does a lot of art. She really likes how clean the line work is when using this chalk. There's no stray dust and the chalk holds together well when in use. The packaging the chalk arrived in is also designed well to prevent the chalk from experiencing much friction, so it lasts longer than other brands. She has been using exclusively this chalk since receiving it and hasn't touched the other ones she had before.

I bought both these and the WonderStix and I like both for different reasons. This chalk did not rub off onto hands unless they rubbed the tip on their hands - it has a coating on the shaft. It does come off easily though. It works great on chalkboard and is so very easy for toddlers to erase themselves. The WonderStix, although a bit more vibrant, took a little more rubbing and sometimes even a wet wipe to erase it. These do not write on dry erase boards, although the WonderStix write beautifully, yet more rub to erase. These are the best chalkboard chalk I have used though and my 20 month old grandson loved using them! A few broke with hard use but that's okay since the small pieces encourage correct "pencil grip"
