**Q: can baby be worn forward facing out?**
A: Hi Michael,
The Sleepy Wrap is for wearing baby facing inward only. Baby wraps in general do not offer any leg or hip support when baby is facing outward so it's not a good idea to wear your babe facing outward in any wrap.

Thanks for the question! It's completely up to you whether or not you want to wash before use although it is not necessary.
When you do wash the wrap please use cold water on a gentle cycle with a gentle detergent. To dry you can tumble dry on low.
