What is the best, hiker, camper, tourist or climber?

They are equal in quality. The question you need to ask is: Which Victorinox is best for my particular application ie.,. the tools I need. For me the Hiker is the perfect combination of small, lightweight everyday carry, and the tools I need. Remember, if you get a knife that's too bulky, you'll probably end up not carrying it at all. For $21, the Hiker is the best knife deal on the planet and it can be passed down to your children and possibly grandchildren.

Does this come with a sheath?

This particular item number does not come with a Sheath. However, Victorinox does have a promotion for a Swiss Army Hiker, Pouch and Fire Starter Set which does come with a sheath.

Anyone know of a SAK in this exact format but with a mini-file instead of a mini-blade? Please let me know. This one is almost perfect... almost.

Checked the current line of Victorinox and they do not have the exact knife with a file. Most of the files they offer are on the 84mm - 58mm knives.
