I am a 60y male and most of my hard cor camping days are behind me but I felt compelled to buy this item. I have one of those settler tools for making wooden benches.I can build these and leave them at various camp spots. this portable stand will make it easy to hang items in locations where it would otherwise be difficult. the stainless and leather construction will last many years, maybe I can pass on come fun.

does what its supposed to do

Well, does it work? Very much so. This is a pretty good tripod pot or Dutch oven holder for camping. I happen to work for a company that deals in metal products like aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel material. I cut some aluminum round bar just smaller then the holes on the tripod plate and about three ft long and it works perfectly. I believe you’ll enjoy this product, it’s made very well and stands up to a good 20 Lbs of weight like heavy cast iron so I don’t think you’ll have to worry too much if your using a large Dutch oven on it, as long as the stands can support the weight, your good to go.
