Works great!
Bought this pump for my 27x52 above-ground pool and it’s been working great. It moves plenty of water, keeps the pool circulating well, and was easy to install. It’s a big improvement over my old setup and has had no trouble keeping up with the pool. Very happy with it so far. This is my second season with it!

Great pump.
I have always used Hayward brand pumps, but this year I decided to try the Dohenys. Just took me minutes to change the hoses after priming. I turned it on and I was amazed how quiet this pump runs. Can't think of anything bad to say.

Not trust this company anymore
★☆☆☆☆ I ordered a Doheny’s 1 HP Above Ground Pool Pump because I have an above-ground pool. Instead, Doheny’s shipped a Doheny’s Pool Pro Plus 1.5 HP pump designed for in-ground pools. The fact that the replacement may have been more powerful or more expensive is irrelevant—it was not the product I ordered and was not appropriate for my pool setup. I had to spend time arranging a return and am still waiting for my refund. It’s disappointing to receive the wrong item and then have to wait so long for the refund to be processed. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

No on/off switch
I was replacing a pump that had an on/off switch, and I incorrectly presumed that this pump had one as well. So my only complaint is regarding the inconvenience of having to unplug it every time you want to power down for something.

Powerful quiet motor that is very affordable
So far so good. It is quiet and it is very powerful. We have a 24 ft round and it circulates the water really well. It doesn’t have an on off switch but the same one with one was like $40 higher. We got a smart switch so I can control it with my phone and Alexa it’s perfect
