I'm noticing that some have their thumb separate while others don't. Can you shove objects between fingers?** A: Epoch makes open hands on all new calico critters to make them consistent with the rest of the worlds. You may find the closed hand critters on secondary market or places that haven't sold their earlier versions. With that said, it is not overly easy to have hands hold items and only some items work in hands. Epoch and a lot of critter ppl use poster putty when wanting critters to hold something. Super easy and putty easily comes off the paws. Critters are open-ended toys which promote numerous benefits to kids. The smallest babies and the sit or crawl babies don't have jointed limbs. Standing babies on up thru grandparents are fully jointed. **Q: how tall are they?** A: The tallest is about 3 inches the smallest is about 2.25 inches. **Q: what are they made out of?** A: They appear to be some sort of flocked rubbery plastic. They are not stuffed or cloth. **Q: Where are these manufactured?** A: They are manufactured in China under US Government Toy safety regulations. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nostalgia meets hours of happiness… *by C***G on Reviewed in the United States on 30 July 2023* When I saw these I was immediately brought back to my own childhood walking the aisles of Toys R Us with my uncle. I remember having and loving them as a little girl. Now, I have two girls who are of the age to enjoy playing with them too. This little mouse is so cute and her dress up accessories are fantastic. My girls enjoy changing their outfits and entering a world of make believe with them.I would not recommend them for children under the age of 6 unless you’re okay with them being lost or messed up. Yes, they’re toys, but these are definitely keepsake quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A huge hit with my granddaughter *by L***N on Reviewed in Canada on 28 May 2023* My granddaughter loves rabbits. I bought this little family and she plays with them all the time. She was thrilled with them. She hides the babies and then helps the parents "find" them and there are kisses and hugs and thank yous. She loves them. ( I make the rabbit parents kiss the babies and then kiss her and thank her for helping them find the babies) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality and cute! *by L*** on Reviewed in Canada on 7 December 2022* Calico critters products are so well made. They’re more expensive but they are very durable and of high quality! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/250240983-calico-critters-girls-sweet-pea-rabbit-family-toy](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/250240983-calico-critters-girls-sweet-pea-rabbit-family-toy) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
