Greenhouse Auto Roof Vent Opener Solar Heat Sensitive Single Spring 15 Lbs

These lifters are amazing. Real heavy duty and work exactly as advertised. Last fall we purchased from Amazon an 8 x 16 cedar wood solid greenhouse. Love the greenhouse, it went through 2 blizzards this past winter without a flinch, but the lifters were small and made of plastic and were a total pain to use. Needed something better since we knew they wouldn't last long. These lifters are the ticket. Easy to install, easy to adjust to temps for opening and closing. They have made keeping a greenhouse a piece of carrot cake. I would include photos but not sure how to take from phone and load onto my PC.

This automatic vent opener does work… eventually. Just be prepared for it to test your patience and possibly your marriage. The instructions appear to have been translated from ancient hieroglyphics. The parts list shows two pins—a “hairpin” and a “stop pin”—but the tiny pictures are about as helpful as a Where’s Waldo puzzle. When ours arrived, it was 100°F outside, so it slowly started opening all by itself right out of the box. We thought we had already broken it. Turns out that’s exactly what it’s supposed to do! After watching more YouTube videos than I care to admit, having my husband wrestle the spring apart, and learning a few new swear words, we discovered the trick: stick it in the freezer for a few minutes. It closed right up. Then we set it on the hot sidewalk, and like magic, it slowly opened again. So yes—it works! Now we’re moving on to installing it on the greenhouse. If you hear loud cussing coming from our backyard, you’ll know that part didn’t go quite as smoothly. Wish us luck! 😂

Pretty good I would recommend if you don’t have a lot of money to spend. Love not having to manually open my windows. Make sure to put in freezer for at least 30 minutes instructions never said that but you need to get them to go down. I had mine for about 2 months and one broke. It should be set then just leave it alone. I kept messing with it and the threads messed up. But I did still pick the same one and reordered it because I feel that was my fault. Just be careful with it as they do break easy. If you set it up then leave it alone you should be fine

This item is awesome. I put it in a greenhouse that I built from a kit. It was easy to install and very impressive that it opens and closes based on the temperature and does not require any power. Highly recommend!

The cylinder worked fine the first day. On the second day it broke. I am highly disappointed with this product.

Fairly easy to install, works as it should, good price.

I am using this automatic hinge in my greenhouse. The original failed in the wind but this heavy duty hinge was a pleasant surprise. The reasonable cost for a better than average product! Installation took some time, but the hinge is easily adjusted.

Not bad for a cheap opener. Be really careful to get the aluminum threads correct.

Put this in my palram greenhouse. Easy to install and opens and closes like it should. I liked the price compared to palram.
