Drobo Mini Protective Carrying Case – Holds Drobo, Power Supply, and Connectivity Cable

This case is a bit bigger than I expected, but it seems to be well constructed.I would prefer a case that put the power supply in a vertical arrangement (on top or underneath the drobo), instead of next to it, as the power supply is much thinner. This case adds a few inches in width over what could've been a fraction of an inch in height.I don't have any zipper issues like the previous reviews state.

Pretty good product and I would probably go with Drobo again when I need something similar. I can't say their support is stellar, it took them some time to get back to me with an initial concern and question I had and their "help" was useless but I figured out the issue and the product is running fine now.

My Drobo mini is my new favorite gadget. I love how portable it is and when doing video interviews at CES this year it became an extremely useful tool for my team to be able to drop all the media they gathered in one place. Something I wish i would have had when at CES was this protective case for the mini. It's got a very nice hard-shell and green liner that makes the inside look clean. I saw a few complaints where people had been saying the zipper did not work well for them. My case zips up great with the Drobo and its cables inside. I love that they made it wider so the cables sit next to the Drobo and not on top It makes for a thin design for the case allowing it to slide in and out of my backpack easier. My Drobo mini is part of all my projects while on the go and now so is the case for my Mini.

Just as advertised, this semi-hard case holds the Drobo Mini and associated cables quite nicely. Sturdy and well made. This case makes it easy to put the Drobo Mini in my Tom Bihn Brain Bag along with my Macbook Pro. If you want to take the Drobo Mini with you, this is a great item to own.

I purchased this product and it has a known defect where the zipper does not smoothly open the case. The inside material (green material) has a seam directly on the path of the zipper which results in the zipper getting caught on the fabric when you try to open the case. Worse, the fabric begins to pull up making future openings even more challenging.Drobo knew about this issue before the product was shipped and recommended I put extra pressure and pull outward on the zipper (not a natural motion) when opening the case.The said I could get a refund but I would have to pay for the return shipping. When I contacted them about this, they ignored by e-mails which were directed at [email protected] experiences so far with drobo have been very mixed (trending toward the negative).

Excellent bag for my Drobo Mini, took it on a month-long trip in the US, traveling the canyons and deserts, held up quite nicely in my backpack, if not for this, my Drobo Mini might look like it went through a train wreck.

If you're going to purchase the Drobo Mini, there there is no reason why you wouldn't purchase this carrying case! Don't put your Drobo Mini at risk, get this case!

I have had this for a few weeks now and it is a perfect companion for the Drobo.It is stylish and well built, a very solid item which will protect the Drobo in transit, without being overly bulky but with plenty of space for the power lead and the bulky UK plug too.I take on board the comments from another review about the seam and the zip, this is useful to know and whereas it might be a minor design flaw, if you know about it you can certainly open the zip more carefully (as Drobo suggested) and after a few weeks there is no sign of any deterioration on my case.Overall, a must-have for anyone who uses their mini as a portable device.

Overpriced for what it is however, there really isn't anything else available that does the same job. The quality is good and delivery from Amazon was much quicker than expected (Originally said delivered in 1 to 2 months but arrived in 2 days!). Overall i am happy with this product.

Da ich den Drobo Mini auch unterwegs mitnehmen möchte, ist die Tasche wirklich hervorragend geeignet. Es gibt ein extra "Abteil" neben dem Drobo. Dort kann das Netzteil + Kabel mit einem Klettband befestigt werden. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Funda perfecta si tienes que transportar el drobo mini. Lo protege bien y se guarda cómodamente y sin ningún problema
