I am a piano player and generally keep my nails short. However the pounding on the piano causes my nails to chip, crack, flake. Does this prod help?

Why am I here? To tell anyone who is wondering about this product like I did that it’s excellent. Does it prevent chipping, cracking, or flaking… I believe it does based on the ingredients because your nails are a form of hardened skin and the things that keep your skin nice will also help nails and this product ticks all of those boxes. The only time it won’t help is if it’s still in the jar. You must use it to see results and keep using it daily but people tend to start out and give up on things too quickly. Don’t do this, use it. Now… as someone who for years has used Hoofer’s Choice and still does, I’m impressed with this product also and think it’s beneficial enough to continue using. I’m buying more of it! I’m also using Sally Hansen’s Hard as Wraps after they’ve been conditioned to seal the deal so to speak. My nails grow like weeds and I have to constantly cut them for this reason. Using all of these products is not to grow them, it’s to keep what growth I allow to remain looking good, and that’s it. I keep mine short so I can do crafts and other activities without worrying about my nails, I’m too practical for that. lol

Do you use this on bare nails or can i still use my gel?

I think it is doubtful that it will penetrate through gel polish, however, massaging it around the cuticle, sides, and on the back of polished nails will help keep those areas in good condition. When I remove my polish I apply it to my bare nails and leave it set overnight (or at least several hours) before washing my hands and reapplying polish.

How long does it take to see a difference?

I am 71 and had some nails that were soft, dry, spooning, and peeling. I started using this and could see a difference within a week. I’ve been using it for about two months now, and my nails are strong, don’t bend, and the two nails that are still spooning are no longer peeling. Additionally, I caught my thumbnail on something and bent it back, a situation that normally would have cracked the nail and started ripping on the sides. This time it just snapped back with no damage. This stuff is an absolute miracle as fas as I’m concerned!

does it work for dry and brittle nails

I use Hoofer’s Choice and have for years but through trial and error finally formulated my own cuticle oil for empty nail brush pens that worked great. What I used was similar to the ingredients in this nail cream with the exception of Juniper Berry oil as a scent, so I’m going to try it too. In my late 60’s my nails now grow like my mom’s did and are long and thin but I hate having long nails having been a guitarist and as a typist, it’s better for me to keep them shorter. This product will not make nails grow faster than they already do but what it will do is retain those you grow so they appear to be growing faster. Given thought, this makes more sense than imagining putting a product on your nail will somehow make it grow faster, that’s not a thing. Our nails are made of Keratin and as such are much like hair and keeping them moisturized with oils is the one thing that truly helps. Using biotin, keratin, and oils with vitamins is very good for them.

The first ingredient in this product is water. As a nail strengthener I found it useless.

My nails have never been in fantastic shape but after I wore acrylic nails for a year in high school (15 years ago) they have just been super thin and brittle since - pile on top of that working in a factory and I just never really had nails - they were always chipped and ALWAYS peeling. I used this twice a day everyday for about a month maybe 2 and then would forget here and there so it got put on whenever I remembered - but have to say my nails are 2000% better than they were before - still thin but I think that's just what I got dealt for nails - very few chips and no more peeling and tons of length (for my nails) and it smells fantastic to boot

Excellent product!!! I work with my hands a lot and found as I get old my nails where becoming more and more brittle ( old age happens to all of us ) so after some research I came across this product and thought I would give it a try. The results are amazing, Before I had a lot of dry splitting nails , even some delaminating due to working with wet hands a lot after applying this for a few days my nails feel a lot stronger, no more splitting, no more delaminating just healthier, a stronger nails. Highly recommend for anyone ( men & women) who have trouble with weak or brittle nails. Will definitely continue to use.
