Tough, cheap bento box
I've been using bento boxes and other containers to pack my work lunches for over a year now, and I have to say, this bento box has been one of my favorites.Firstly, it's small enough to fit in most lunch bags and lunch totes. In my bag, I have enough room to spare to pack a small water bottle or thermos, or snacks that won't fit inside the bento box. It's also dishwasher safe, which is extremely convenient and handy because I don't have to take more time out of my day to carefully hand wash it. I've also washed the plastic utensils in the dishwasher and they've handled it very well.Just note that this bento box is not completely leak proof, so do NOT pack liquids or particularly leaky foods inside. Again, I've been using bento boxes for over a year, and I've packed pasta with sauce, fruit, boiled veggies, salads (with the dressing in its own container), etc. and I've had no issues with leaking. You just need to be careful when considering what to pack in the bento box, and what might do better in its own leak-proof container.Anyway, I'm definitely very happy with my purchase. It was much cheaper than my Bentgo (a similar box that costs more than $14), but just as good.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. This review was not influenced by the discount and all thoughts and opinions are my own. I hope this helped!

Perfect!! (for $10)
After reading all the reviews I decided to get this because it looked great and was on sale for $10. I don't plan on putting anything liquid in it, Its mostly for rice, fruit, and solid snacks... so I'm happy. I also saw the reveiws about putting it in its own lunch bag, and not just tossing it into a backpack or purse, so ive bought a bag that was on sale for about $5. I'll update when the semester starts and I start using it heavily.

THE LIDS SUCK
To anyone considering this bento, know this, THE LIDS DO NOT SNAP ON OR SECURE THEMSELVES THE PRODUCT AT ALL, THEY SIMPLY REST ON TOP. It you are expecting a tupperware style lid where the lid is secure on the container, this is not the product for you.I packed this bento for the first time today and I was very disappointed that I could not fill them to the top at all because any pressure against the lid pushes the lid off the container. The only thing that holds the lids on at all is the rubber band. This bento is the perfect size for me, so I was bummed that it isn't secure at all. I would only carry this bento upright, and use dry foods in it. I wouldn't trust this thing in a bag with anything else in it, so this is not one you can throw in a backpack or large purse. You get what you pay for I guess. I took a chance on this one because it was much cheaper than other options but I will definitely have to fork up for a nicer one if I don't want food spilling everywhere.

more like a bend-over box - utensils included but easy to drop when opening
Switching to a daycare where I need to meal prep and try to keep my toddler's lunch warm and contained. I tried this bento along with 2 others. Here's a word about the design. so it is essentially 2 large main compartments with a plastic lid to squash in between each. The very top lid is where there is only enough room for the included utensils and then you "lock" or more like hold it all together by that elstic band which I don't recall seeing a way to adjust or tighten it. So here's the verdict:Pros:- feels sturdy both outer and inside- simple inner trays, can store a range of food without essentially smashing it to fit- spacious 2 trays- includes utensils, fairly sturdy ones too- nice design/shape overallCons:- not a tight enough seal to either the compartments or the unit as a whole. See that elastic band? That's your locking mechanism - yep- compartments don't seal tight enough to contain soups, sauces and such. The runniest item would be thickened soups at best if you even dare. Yougurt will hold, but even Panera's broccoli cheddar soup seeped past the "seal" to the edge.- i did the standing on the side test with a variety of food for half the day for the other bento boxes, I didn't even try the full test with this one- Didn't keep the food warm. I didn't put it in super steaming hot but pretty warm. By noon time (3+hrs) it was room temp.- the utensil fly out 9 out of 10 times when you pry off the very top lid. I had a lot of face palm moments. There is a minimal lip on the top "Seal" where the utensils just gladly slide right over. It's like playing operation when trying to open the lid without dropping the utensils on your lap, table, ground whatever.- Could at least have thick silicone strips or something to help keep the elastic from sliding around on a smooth surface so easily...ya think? If you are looking for more thermos-like quality, this is not it. Still better than the other cheapo containers but still close enough too. I certainly liked the other bentos. This is definitely not one for daycare purpose. My wife will use it but she said the same thing about the freaking utensils dropping out.

So far, so good; no leaking. It enables me to pack a salad and a little something else.
