PURGGO Bamboo Charcoal Car Air Freshener - Lasts 365+ Days, Fragrance-Free Odor Absorber - Headrest-Hang Design for Cars, Trucks & SUVs - Activated Charcoal Bag, Plastic-Free

I bought this because I wanted to get rid of odors in my car without using strong fragrances, and it has worked really well. Unlike traditional air fresheners that just cover up smells, this one actually helps reduce them over time. After a few days, I noticed the interior smelled much fresher, especially after long commutes. I also like that it's made with activated bamboo charcoal and doesn't contain artificial perfumes. It's simple to hang, doesn't get in the way, and blends in nicely with the car's interior. One thing to keep in mind is that it doesn't provide an instant burst of fragrance. If you're expecting a scented air freshener, this isn't it. It's designed to absorb odors, and in my experience, it does exactly that. Overall, it's a great option if you prefer a clean, neutral-smelling car instead of masking odors with strong scents. I'd definitely buy it again.

I think I had this in my vehicle over a year but it works! Any odors are gone. Every person who gets in my car says no scent and it’s neutral which is always a plus. I smoke in my car my vice but people never say omg it stinks or your car smells bad. Writing this as I purchase another one since I think I did last the year and the sun worn down the color but it was still looking good. Best product for this.

Works well on removing the cigarette smoke in my husband's vehicle. Even though he rolls down the windows when smoking, the smell would linger. Put this over the seat back, and even months later there's no smoke odor! Definitely recommend!!

I was very skeptical about this Car Air Freshener. I have spent hundreds of dollars on many products that claim to rid vehicles of odors, especially smoke odors. I have quite a few smokers in my family, and friends that smoke as well. I have learned over the years to never use the ashtrays in cars, and I buy the self extinguishing ashtrays that sit in the cup holders....like this one - Roadpro X-Large Self-Extinguishing Ashtray - Roadpro RP-452L....or the short ones. With these ashtrays, you can empty them every day and the ashes/butts are not left in the car's ashtray. These ashtrays work, but you can still smell smoke. My husband bought me one of those little air fresheners you stick in the vent...and it smelled really good but it was very overpowering....and I love strong scents. So I saw This Purggo Freshener and decided to give it a try. I took it out of the package and put it in my car immediately. I live in Central Texas where it has been over 100 degrees for well over a month...with the Heat Index over 110 degrees. Every day. To me...everything stinks worse when it's hot. So between the smoke smell...and dog smells and just everyday smells...my car stinks REALLY bad! I had to get new tires on my car the next day....and I didn't tell me husband about the new Purggo that I hung behind my drivers seat head rest. You can't really see it because my interior is the same Charcoal color of the Purggo....and because the seats in my car are fairly tall <I have a Dodge Charger> and my windows are tinted Limo dark. The Purggo works SO WELL that he didn't even smell the Glad Vent freshener he put in there. He asked me if I took it down, and I pointed to it stuck in my vent. He thought something was wrong with it because he definitely didn't smell it. I showed him the Purggo and told him what it is and what is is supposed to do and that I had put it in the car the day before. He asked me to get him one, so I did just that. I took all the other air fresheners out of my car because this Purggo works so well that you can't smell ANYthing!! There's no smell whatsoever. If you want to put a nice smelly in your car with the Purggo....you'll be wasting your money. Unless you take the Purggo out for a few days and hang a freshener up. But then if you/anyone smokes in your car it will stink again. Bottom Line - this things does exactly as it says - it takes ALL the smells out of your vehicle. As for how long it will work, I've only had mine for a week so I will post updates every few months....good or bad. Would I recommend? ABSOLUTELY! It is a bit pricey...but if I don't have to spend any more money to get rid of the smells...I think this Purggo Air Freshener is worth every penny!

This is non intrusive as it just hangs behind on the head rest of the front seat. It blends in well to my cars interior. But I really do not notice any difference. My car has an odor I cannot figure out how it got there. It is not a terrible odor but I wanted something to neutralize it and thought this would do the trick but I still smell the odor after detailing the car. I guess I will keep looking.

I had a previous one that I left out in the rain by accident and didn't replace it for weeks. Turns out that span of time showed that this works - car definitely had a stinky smell to it without one of these in there. Got a new one and the smell is gone after a few days. This thing does the job, it's not BS.

I never leave reviews, but this really works well. I’ve tried a lot of products. The ionizer worked ok but didn’t last. But this without a doubt works the best!

Use this only. I used a car deodorant and the Purggo took that away too. Best product for keeping smells out of the car

Good enough. But the quality of tie up material is a bit poor. Can use better tie up material. Am able to do length adjustments so that it does not wobble and swing in air behind the seat.

no benefit for it at all

I definitely would not get this its does not work and is really bad
